President Trump has said "many" pardons issued by Joe Biden are void because the former president signed them with "autopen" - a device which reproduces a person's signature - rather than by hand.

So ALL of Trumps pardons, Executive orders etc are null and void because he is incapable of reading them, let alone comprehending them ?

The NY Times - Opinion - A Great Unraveling Is Underway

11 March 2025

John F. Kennedy’s Inaugural Address on Jan. 20, 1961 :

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty. ...”

“So, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world, ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.”

Trump and his vacuous vice president, JD Vance, have completely turned Kennedy’s call on its head.

The Trump-Vance version :

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that today’s America will pay no price, bear no burden, incur no hardship, and it will abandon any friends and cuddle up to any foes in order to assure the Trump administration’s political survival - even if it means the abandonment of liberty wherever that be profitable or convenient for us.

So, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for President Trump. ...

Summary: Surrounded by *ssholes.

The Houthis stopped targeting ships in January after a ceasefire was announced between Israel and Hamas. However Israel cut off the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza earlier this month. Then the Houthis said they would renew attacks. (Again they had stopped)

That was enough to provoke Trump to launch an attack.

Addressing the Houthis directly, Trump wrote "HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE".

"This aggression will not go without response and our Yemeni armed forces are ready to answer escalation with further escalation," the Houthis said.

Trump urged Iran to cease its support for the Houthis, warning that Washington would hold Tehran "fully accountable and, we won't be nice about it".

Iran's Foreign Minister the US had "no authority, or business, dictating Iranian foreign policy".

"End support for Israeli genocide and terrorism Stop killing of Yemeni people."

There is no unbiased coverage of the Middle East. Iran is widely regarded as the Houthis' strongest ally. Aljazeera is based in Qatar. Qatar and Iran share world's largest natural gas field which necessitates cooperation.

...

What’s happening in Yemen? A breakdown of the Houthi-US violence: Aljazeera
...
“[Trump’s] strikes were very clearly going after Houthi leadership, and didn’t seem to care if any civilians got in the way,” Nick Brumfield, an independent Yemen analyst, told Al Jazeera. “The strikes in Sanaa targeted a residential neighborhood known to house a lot of Houthi leaders.”

The US says it will bomb Yemen until the Houthis stop, with President Donald Trump claiming that the Houthis had “targeted our Troops and Allies”.

Trump and his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth have also claimed that Iran is behind the Houthis’ actions and that it was now “on notice”.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced he had coordinated the attacks on Yemen with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

The Houthis claimed two attacks on the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S Truman and its warships. US officials speaking anonymously to media outlets denied that any attack took place.

The Houthis denounced the the US and the United Kingdom, which did not partake in the actual bombing but helped with refuelling, according to the BBC.

Houthi spokespeople pledged retaliation for the US attacks.

Another one of these FAFO geniuses who voted for the orange buffoon...but now they don't like what he's doing. Even worse, it involves this clown's wife 🙄

Millions of Americans, including Bartell [the husband], had voted for President Donald Trump's promise to crack down on "criminal illegal immigrants." But eight weeks in, the mass deportation effort has rapidly expanded to include immigrants whose application for legal status in the country is under review.

Even those married or engaged to U.S. citizens are being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, USA TODAY has learned.

Also a clever wordplay turnaround on an insult Trump used to dish out to Biden:

It makes me wonder about how the thousands of kids that go to US colleges on scholarships from around the world will get on, if they dare to leave the country to visit their families during school holidays.

We know of a few young football (soccer) players who are currently on scholarship deals at US colleges and playing/studying in the US college system.
How will they get on, returning to the US after they leave the country to visit family, play youth international games, have vacations, etc?

It's very like the Iron Curtain is being erected at the US border...

Trump is a notorious golf cheat, there are plenty of interviews of people he's played with that document this.

The Washington Post - Maryland judge orders DOGE to stop efforts to dismantle USAID

The preliminary injunction marks another blow to the Trump administration’s efforts to dramatically reduce the size of the federal government.

breaking

A federal judge in Maryland on Tuesday temporarily blocked billionaire Elon Musk and the U.S. DOGE Service from taking further actions to dismantle the U.S. Agency for International Development and ordered that steps be taken to allow the agency to reoccupy its headquarters inside the Ronald Reagan building in Washington, D.C., should the plaintiffs in a lawsuit challenging Musk’s actions win their case.

The judge also ordered DOGE to restore email and other access to thousands of employees who have been cut off from the agency, including those stationed in dangerous areas with their jobs in limbo. ...

On Monday, the Trump administration moved to reinstate thousands of probationary workers after another judge in Maryland ruled that those firings had been conducted illegally, a decision that is now before a federal appeals court.

DOGE went from "No, no. You misunderstand. We only make recommendations" devolved into "Obey us. We got guns" pretty quickly.

How A Tiny Federal Agency’s Lawsuit Could Provide The Smoking Gun Against DOGE: Huffington Post

The U.S. African Development Foundation’s standoff with DOGE contradicts the Trump administration’s defenses of Elon Musk’s operation.
...
The Trump administration claims Musk does not lead DOGE and insists DOGE is not actually taking actions, merely recommending them to relevant government leaders.
...
After the agency board met on March 4 and ruled Marocco’s appointment was illegal and that Brehm remained the board chair, Marocco and DOGE operatives attempted to access the building but were denied entry. They threatened security officers with lawsuits and said they would return with U.S. Marshals and the Secret Service to force entry.

They did just that on Thursday, when Marocco and DOGE operatives took control of the agency’s headquarters with the support of U.S. Marshals and commenced dismantling its operations. Brehm’s lawsuit followed shortly thereafter.
...
Brehm’s complaint provides evidence that DOGE is not just making recommendations, but directly taking actions it is not legally or constitutionally allowed to make. These actions include the direction or suspension of agency funding, the dismantling of agency operations and the firing of agency personnel.
...
Independent Agency CEO: 'DOGE has broken into our building.'

As an Australian living in NZ, it gives me great pleasure to read the following:

RNZ News -  Australia's 'biggest defence export' was meant to go to the US first, but Canada snuck past Donald Trump

breaking

For months, senior officials have been discussing exporting Australia's world-leading radar technology JORN to the United States, but after Donald Trump's return to the White House, Canada saw an opportunity and leapt.

Overnight, new Canadian leader Mark Carney spoke to his counterpart, Anthony Albanese, then flew to his country's Arctic territory of Nunavut to announce a $6.5 billion high-tech Australian military purchase.

"Today, I'm announcing that our government will be working with our long-standing defence and security partner Australia to build a new, long-range, over-the-horizon military radar system," he said.

"[It] will enable Canada to detect and respond to both air and maritime threats over our Arctic both faster and from further away. It will most fundamentally keep all Canadians safe."

Following President Trump's repeated threats to annex Canada and Greenland, Ottawa is purchasing the Australian-developed technology known as the Jindalee Over-the-Horizon Radar (JORN) to build its new Arctic Over-the-Horizon Radar system.

Is the U.S. economy heading for a "Titanic Moment"?

A quote from YouTube 3 days ago:

"America is like the Titanic. Too big to turn, too slow to react, in denial about sinking, and there aren't enough lifeboats for every passenger except the ultra rich."
