Tinkerisk:

At least they don't fall out of the window. 😁

That's because Trump can't spell "defenestration". He keeps tweeting "defevefe" but everyone brings him a cup of decaf instant coffee.

https://www.thebulwark.com/p/donald-trump-an-all-powerful-president-economy-polling-heads-i-win-tails-you-lose

Heading into any business meetings today? We hope you’ll have someone on hand to gas you up as effusively as Attorney General Pam Bondi did for Donald Trump in yesterday’s cabinet meeting. “President,” she said, eyes locked on her boss, “your first 100 days has far exceeded that of any other presidency in this country. Ever. Ever. Never seen anything like it.” Bondi went on to claim that Trump’s efforts to crack down on fentanyl had already saved—“are you ready for this, media? 258 million lives.”

There are roughly 340 million people in America. I mean, we could have been really screwed!

Wow, that's some (alleged) "winning" right there! 🙄

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

And this just in: Army plans for a potential parade on Trump’s birthday call for 6,600 soldiers,

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Detailed Army plans for a potential military parade on President Donald Trump’s birthday in June call for more than 6,600 soldiers, at least 150 vehicles, 50 helicopters, seven bands and possibly a couple thousand civilians,"

Yay! I get to use the new slang I learned: "glazing." Oddly enough it was about AI: "OpenAI undoes its glaze-heavy ChatGPT update"

What does 'glazing' mean? Everything to know about the slang: Today

Are you showing a little too much enthusiasm? Chances are, you might be “glazing,” and we're not talking about doughnuts or pottery.
...
“Glazing” is a popular internet slang term that originated in the 2020s. If you hear your kid use it, they are most likely saying someone is offering too much excessive praise towards a place, person, object or thing.

The NY Times - Marco Rubio, Secretary of Everything

01 May 2025

Secretary of state. Acting administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development. Acting archivist for the National Archives and Records Administration. And now interim national security adviser to President Trump.

Like a Christmas tree bedecked with shiny ornaments of every shape and size, Marco Rubio, 53, has accumulated four titles starting with his confirmation as secretary of state on Jan. 20, the same day that Mr. Trump took his oath of office. ...

Mr. Trump announced Mr. Rubio’s newest position in a social media post on Thursday afternoon, a surprise twist in the first big personnel shake-up of this administration.

The media outlet "Punchbowl" reported Tuesday that Amazon would list how much tariffs were adding to items' prices.

First white House press secretary Karoline Leavitt called Amazon move to publish tariff costs a "hostile and political act."

A call between President Trump and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos happened shortly after.

Amazon's Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post. It's interesting to see the succinct, and muted response, from the Washington Post. The business section has a one paragraph denial from Amazon.

An opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal had this to say:

"President Trump’s base insists that he’s fearless and forthright. Yet when a merchant proposes to reveal to the American people the costs of his tariffs, he demands it not do so.

Many people have defended his protectionism with the boast that they’re willing to pay higher prices to protect American workers. The president obviously doesn’t take such claims seriously."

Amazon to display tariff costs for consumers: Punchbowl

Amazon doesn’t want to shoulder the blame for the cost of President Donald Trump’s trade war.

So the e-commerce giant will soon show how much Trump’s tariffs are adding to the price of each product, according to a person familiar with the plan.

The shopping site will display how much of an item’s cost is derived from tariffs – right next to the product’s total listed price.

The plot thickens …

The Washington Post - Trump announces Waltz as nominee for U.N. ambassador

BREAKING NEWS: Trump taps Michael Waltz for U.N. ambassador, says Secretary of State Rubio will replace him as interim national security adviser.

President Donald Trump’s announcement on social media followed reports that Waltz, who has lost favor in the White House and among other Trump loyalists, was going to be replaced as national security adviser.

Marco Rubio will continue as secretary of state until a permanent replacement for Waltz is found, Trump said.

If you can't get rid of Waltz, 'promote' him?  Waltz has absolutely no relevant experience - but that doesn't matter to Trump.

"who has lost favor in the White House and among other Trump loyalists, was going to be replaced"

You have a lot of talent and wisdom. But you disagree with me, so goodbye. I will replace you with someone who has no talent and no wisdom, but they agree with me

Story of the Trump story. Its effectively an authoritarian/dictator leadership. They have their time in past history but it never ends well.

A few more cartoons for your Saturday morning:

Canadians tell the orange buffoon to (basically) get stuffed:

Probably just a matter of time until we actually see something like this:

Remember the "$2 trillion" worth of cuts that Musk was so insistent he would find? He's not even halfway to that amount but God loves a trier 🙄

And finally, the contrast between the two presidents is like night and day:
