Well, of course; otherwise that extra $54 billion he gave to the military would've been a waste of money!

Not only that, but he's under siege at the moment. And the last time he waged war, pundits from all ends of the political spectrum declared how he was finally being "Presidential".

The best comment I have seen so far is The President admitted "my original instinct was to pull out" .... I wish his father had!

The Moron decided that it was smart to look at the sun eclipse without protection.

That's ok, he doesn't believe in science and he's the President so he can do whatever he wants, no meddling scientist will tell him what to do.

He was blind before he looked...so no more damage possible....

I'm getting a very good feeling about Trump's (lack of - hopefully) future.

The alt-right fanbase who had a significant part in putting him where he was, are not very happy with him at all.  Regardless of what Bannon says about "fighting for Trump" against common enemies (aka liberals), the Breitbart / alt-right cult despise Ivanka/Kushner, hate the idea of more US involvement in Afghanistan etc.

There are wedges being driven deep, between neo-fascist and the alt-right, and between the alt-right and "Trumpists".

Trump spaced out on MDMA would be something to behold.

Vast improvement I expect - so long as he didn't get too full of the spirit of bonhomie and kept his tiny hands to himself.

BBC - Trump says he is willing to 'close government' to build Mexico wall

He said that, if it came to it, he would risk a government shutdown - which is what happens when legislation funding the federal government cannot be passed by Congress and non-essential services stop.

"Now the obstructionist Democrats would like us not to do it, but believe me if we have to close down our government, we are building that wall," Mr Trump said, adding that "the American people voted for immigration control".

If President Trump wants a government shutdown all he has to do is refuse to sign a funding bill sent to him by Congress.

It's definitely time for Trump's psychiatric assessment.

Agree

And all the while there are no bans, no wall, no Obamacare cancelled, no bad trade deals for the rest of us, no wars, its been great, having our cake (not ruining the world) and eating it too (watching him fall before the sword)

Hmm. Personally, I think the only way Trump will leave the WH is feet first.

At the very least you are forgetting he has had partial success with the bans.

Also I find it very hard to believe these large neonazi/klan public gatherings would have been held without candidate and then president Trump in effect.

Well, yeah, there hasn't been a single bear attack since the bear tax was introduced.

An opinion piece well worth reading:

Why a sudden Trump impeachment could go terribly wrong - The Listener - 24 August, 2017

Scarcely a day goes by now that Donald Trump does not bring the presidency into disrepute – but we should be careful what we wish for ...

Were Trump either to quit in pique and frustration or, worse, be removed by either of the legal means available, the US would risk being plunged into civic unrest on an unknowable scale. ...

There were already bans in place, but a relatively minor effect. These gatherings are a pity, and also minor. But all of the big deals he was going to do, and trade was a biggie that would affect us all, and perhaps change world trade in huge ways,  have never seen the light of day

Its as though the Presidency has been shelved from Jan 20, while he argues with his own people and party over his behaviour. Its like the POTUS has been on leave for 6 months as far as the globe is concerned.

Trump's various travel bans are new and are having a significant effect on people.
