Fred99:

So the "Stormy Daniels" story continues, broken by the WSJ (owned by Murdoch), now reporting that Trump's lawyer (Cohen) set up a company in Delaware in order to process the payment.

This whole arrangement is stupendous, unbelievable.  I'd written it off as a possible beat-up and risk of being "fake news" - but it now appears that it clearly wasn't.  ...

Beg to differ  - there is nothing unusual or surprising about this - this is just "normal" sleazy Trump behaviour.

He's been doing this sort of thing for decades -

I am starting to actually like Trump. Everything he does must push so many of the wrong buttons of his supporters. They are all like Sandra Sanders, working themselves into impossible contortions trying to defend Trump's actions and reconcile those with their conservative values. That man is pi**ing on everyone and having a ball doing it.

I cannot stand him because of the lies he tells and his total lack of respect for women. And...did I say he is also a racist and doesnt believe in global warming?

However, I have survived one year of the jerk and survived!!!

Tony Schwartz - I wrote The Art of the Deal with Trump. He's still a scared child

Tony Schwartz wrote The Art of the Deal with Donald Trump in 1987.

We fear Trump because he is impulsive, irrational and self-serving, but above all because he seems unconstrained by even the faintest hint of conscience.
Trump feels no more shame over his most destructive behaviours than a male lion does killing the cubs of his predecessor when he takes over a pride.

This article is short, and well written - it is impossible to summarize.

If you want to know what makes The Donald tick, I urge you to read this.

I'm sure he has.

I was referring to the amateurish pathetically naive attempt by Trump - and his schmuck of a lawyer - to cover this up.

Sideface, I agree with you 100%, everyone should read the article. Tony Schwartz has the crazy man dead to rights.

....The fearful divide Trump has exacerbated is not simply between his supporters and his detractors, the rich and the poor, or Democrats and Republicans, but between the best and the worst in each of us.

In the face of fear, it is a physiological fact that our most primitive and selfish instincts emerge. Control of our behaviour shifts from the prefrontal cortex to the emotionally driven amygdala – sometimes referred to as “fear central”. As we move into fight-or-flight mode, we become more self-centred, and our vision narrows to the perceived threat, which in the modern world is less to our survival than to our sense of value and worthiness. We lose the capacity for empathy, rationality, proportionality and attention to the longer-term consequences of our actions.

This is the reactive state Trump has tapped into with his followers and which he has prompted in his opponents. It serves none of us well. Think for a moment about the immense difference between how you feel and behave at your best and your worst. It is when we feel safest and most secure that we think most clearly and expansively. It’s also when we are most inclined to look beyond our self-interest, and to act with compassion, generosity, consideration and forgiveness.

I have never observed any of these qualities in Trump. Over the past year I have frequently been asked whether he has any redeeming qualities. I’ve thought about this as objectively as I can, and the only one I’ve come up with is his relentless drive. But because Trump uses this quality solely in the service of his self-aggrandisement and domination, it scarcely qualifies as a virtue...

The marriage of Trump and the American public was a tragedy waiting to happen.

But, as often happens in a year-old lust-driven marriage, one party now wants out of the union, and divorce is inevitable.

Unfortunately, the offspring of this doomed liaison mature in just months - like Aliens - and they're already roaming the globe, spreading disunity, dissent, hatred, violence and murder.

The infectious Madness of King Trump has to be ended before healing can begin.

Come on America, it's up to you!

The fate of the World is, literally, in your hands.

The idea of his weight/height not actually being what was disclosed concerns me greatly, for one very important reason:
If we can't believe the height and/or weight reported in the physical, then how can we believe the reported perfect score on the cognitive test?

US Senator Jeff Flake compares President's attacks on media to Stalin

Both sides of politics have launched a full frontal attack on US President Donald Trump over his proposed fake news awards for dishonest reporting, with Republican senator Jeff Flake comparing Mr Trump to Josef Stalin.

Key Points:

  • Senator Flake has been a vocal Donald Trump critic
  • Donald Trump tweeted that he would announce fake news awards today
  • Both Stalin and Mr Trump called the media an "enemy of the people"

In a rare intra-party rebuke from the Senate floor, Senator Flake said Mr Trump's portrayal of the press as "the enemy of the people" and repeated White House references to "fake news" and "alternative facts" spur copycats such as Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

Aaaand the govt has officially shut down... well done orange turd monster. Would rather spend money on the  war machine than kids health.

Trump spoke to “Fox & Friends” in 2013 and was asked who would be fired during a government shutdown, as shown in a clip posted by "Morning Joe."

“Well, if you say who gets fired it always has to be the top,” Trump said. “I mean, problems start from the top and they have to get solved from the top and the president’s the leader. And he’s got to get everybody in a room and he’s got to lead.”

He said that further down in history, “when they talk about the government shutdown, they’re going to be talking about the president of the United States, who the president was at that time.”

“They’re not going to be talking about who was the head of the House, the head the Senate, who’s running things in Washington,” Trump said.

“So I really think the pressure is on the president,” he added.

Haven't you heard that he has grown an inch in his old age?  Very conveniently as it happens, as it moves his BMI into the ugly fat orange bar-steward category instead of ugly obese orange bar-steward that 6'3" would have made him.  wink

Revealed at Madame Tussauds: Donald Trump's Actual Hand Size

In 1997, a team from Madame Tussauds took measurements of Trump’s body parts to create a life-size wax sculpture.

The waxwork is no longer on display, but there is a bronze mould of his hand on the New York museum's wall.

And according to The Hollywood Reporter, his hand is 7.22 inches long, which is smaller than average, especially for someone of his height.

Trump is 6 foot 2, so, considering his height, his hands are rather small.

Find out for yourself how you measure up to Trump.
