<snip>  ... this thread is about Mr Drumph and what his possible election as President of the USA might do to the world. Let us return to the topic.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch:

A guide to the conspiracy theories about Donald Trump

CBS News August 4, 2016

These theories include:

  • He has no intention of becoming president
  • He cut a deal with the Clintons
  • Donald Trump is working for Putin's Kremlin
  • Trump might be looking to drop out

Worth a read  wink

LOL now that's making things up ... seriously, the easiest interpretation of events is that Trump is being Trump, he's trying to see how far he can go being himself. Trouble is ... Americans hate Clinton! (as pointed out very early on in this thread ... )

It's be very interesting to know, if that's the case, then why that might be the case.

There's an opinion piece on that here.

Perhaps the anti-Trump brigade are guilty too - as there's been a lot of mocking of Trump - his hair, his manliness (lack of), trophy wife (wives).  Surely his dishonesty, misogyny, racism, threats, lack of credible policy etc are enough to disqualify him for consideration as being worthy of becoming president.

There are some nasty signs showing an alarming change in the US society that harks back to it's violent racist past. This has in part been fueled by Trump and my fear that if he is elected the racist, misogynistic and xenophobic  element in the US will believe they have

White House backing for their views and actions.

From the conspiracy guide, re: He cut a deal with the Clintons

Trump ... has a personal relationship with the Clintons, who attended his wedding in 2005. (Trump has repeatedly said they came because he had bought them off.

Interesting. I wonder how much he paid the Clintons to attend his wedding? I wonder how much he paid other people to attend his wedding? I wonder how many people attended his wedding gratis? I wonder if they're now feeling ripped off?

Cut a deal eh. People have very short memory. Who cut a deal with Boris Johnson?

If one follows the happenings around the world, things can get quite interesting -

The turks have prevented instability by turning out onto the streets to stop a coup on their under fire president.

The Filipinos have voted in a rogue who has legalized murder.

The Americans could soon ...

Oh just end this already. Now Mr Foot-in-Mouth endorses Paul Ryan.... almost certainly in a last-ditch effort to save his own electoral prospects.
