Yay - trade war!
Sounds like fun - do the participants get medals - where can I sign up?

The Canadian PM made a very hard address. The US is going to really suffer under Trump socially, politically, economically.
President Trump is now confronting two nuclear standoffs and fighting a trade war on multiple fronts - all at the same time.
The big picture:
Trump's March decision to agree to meet with Kim Jong-un led to speculation he might hold off on withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal, so as not to face dueling nuclear dilemmas. He didn't.
Common cause on North Korea had seemed to pave the way for a trade war truce with China. It didn't.
Now, Trump is slapping tariffs on America's closest allies - and they're hitting back.
The latest: Trump's tariffs - 25% on steel and 10% on aluminum - will go into effect at midnight on the E.U., Canada and Mexico.

Into a parallel universe where Benny Hill writes geopolitical policy instead of chasing girls.

You can remember another time when a POTUS declared trade war on its friends, and a POTUS did deals with another superpower to make money for himself and his daughter?

I believe that Benny would have made a far better President than Dopey Donald, but sadly he would not have qualified for US citizenship ...

If POTUS did not have the mid-term elections coming up in a few months maybe there would not be tariffs being put on steel and aluminium, and peace talks with Nth Korea about to start? The timing is interesting to say the least.

I mean cold war, brinkmanship, nuke cuddling, trade tariffs and protectionism
Tariffs. CNN has a list of US imports and exports by country. Most of these including Canada and Mexico are close either way, no large imbalance. EU is close too
Its a security threat. I agree. Too many Harley's noising about in Europe is tantamount to war.....
As these countries voice their concern you would expect a natural "avoid US products" will come into play by its citizens. Maybe there could be some gains, albeit small, in industries that can manufacture at hone what is often imported from the US
“Now that we're all here, we can get started. We have a situation. The president's brain is missing.”
President Trump figuratively dangled a letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in front of reporters on Friday, as he confirmed that a June 12 summit is back on.
“That letter was a very nice letter,” Trump said at a White House news conference. “Oh, would you like to see what was in that letter. Wouldn't you like? How much? How much? How much?”
When a journalist asked whether the president could “just give us the flavor of what the letter said,” Trump said, “It was a very interesting letter. At some point, it may be appropriate and maybe I'll be able to give it to you, maybe.”
A few minutes later, however, Trump said he hadn't even opened the letter, which was delivered by Kim Yong Chol, a high-ranking North Korean official who previously directed that country's spy agency.
“I haven't seen the letter yet,” the president said. “I purposely didn't open the letter. I haven't opened it. I didn't open it in front of the director. I said, ‘Would you want me to open it?’ He said, ‘You can read it later.’ ”

Impossible. For something to be missing, it has to have been present previously.

Fact check:
The best brain - a trophy brain - oh wait - brain atrophy.
In the past each time when the US was near a bankruptcy they sold war bonds and got involved in a (world) war. I don't like to know what they'll do this time.
