The Washington Post - North Carolina political operative indicted, and prosecutor signals that more charges are likely

February 27 at 12:15 PM

The political operative at the center of allegations of ballot-tampering in a congressional race in North Carolina has been indicted on seven felonies, the start of what is expected to grow into one of the most sweeping criminal investigations ever of fraud in a federal election.

Leslie McCrae Dowless, who worked for Mark Harris, the Republican nominee in the state’s 9th Congressional District last year, was arrested and charged with three counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice and two counts of possession of absentee ballots, according to the Wake County district attorney’s office in Raleigh. ...

But Trump is still there while everyone drops / deserts around him!

What will he do for a distraction this time?

I love this, all the Republicans could do was attack the man. So pathetic.

The irony is palpable - 'You've lied to Congress, why can't trust you.'

Trump has told over 7 thousand lies..

The Post agrees with you ...

The Washington Post - The Cohen hearing: The most important and worst moments for Trump and the GOP he corrupted

February 27 at 1:22 PM

their conclusion ...

... We should also recognize how completely inept and clueless Republicans are.

They believe that if they simply smear Cohen they’ll have accomplished their mission.

But what about all the other witnesses, all the other evidence including financial documents?

They cannot seem to grasp the extent of incriminating information out there and, if they allow themselves to consider it for just a moment, they seem utterly unconcerned they will be looked upon as stooges for a corrupt president.

You ask what world they live in?

The Fox News bubble where facts are unimportant.

Their other standard is: Can we get the dim voters to buy this?

Cohen has given all of the information and more to prosecutors. Trump and the GOP are living on borrowed time.

If not by legal or congressional action, Trump’s organization has been revealed for what it is: A sort of mob-like entity ruled by a pathological liar for whom laws and truth are irrelevant.

I hope that you're wrong.

Today we saw just the tip of the iceberg.

The closed sessions yesterday and tomorrow may reveal more substantial evidence.

It was the underwater 90% of the iceberg that sunk the Titanic.  ...

Agree. There's nothing new in here except Trump reimbursing Cohen for the allegations payoffs. This will not be a compelling reason for congress to vote for impeachment today.

The GOP pushing the line that Cohen's a convicted liar, yet ignoring that his lies he was convicted for were made by Cohen in an attempt to show that "Trump did nothing wrong".

Protecting a prolific liar - their president:

Wish something like the midterms would happen with climate change.

There was a temporary decline in the recorded rate of lying.

(actually I suspect the reason for this was that Trump went to ground as he licked his wounds - the number of lies only dropped in proportion with the drop in everything he said)

Stock prices in Art of the Deal have fallen again...

#breaking Plans appear to be shifting in Hanoi during President Trump's nuclear talks with Kim Jong Un... and not in a good way. Talks have abruptly ended & the new schedule appears to eliminate the planned lunch & joint agreement signing ceremony that had been listed earlier.

Reading between the lines, Trump is desperate for good news, so he has probably demanded anti nuke action and KJU has said no. Another fail.
