A shooting in El Paso, TX. A white supremacist, 23+ dead now. Irony of this Border Patrol car parked nearby... The problem is not the immigrants, you idiots.

The New York Times -  El Paso Walmart Shooting

Authorities are investigating a manifesto in connection with the shooting.

Law enforcement officials are studying an anti-immigrant manifesto to determine whether it was written by the gunman, according to a local law enforcement official who has been briefed on the investigation.

Given the manifesto’s racially extremist views, it could make the killings a federal hate crime or an act of domestic terrorism if officials determine that it is tied to the shootings.

It declares support for the gunman who killed 51 in Christchurch, New Zealand, outlines fears about Hispanic people gaining power in the United States and appears to discuss specific details about elements of the attack, including weapons. ...

El Paso Shooter Identified Online As Trump Supporter Who Didn’t Like ‘Race Mixing’

Patrick Crusius allegedly left behind a racist manifesto before killing at least 15 people at Cielo Vista Mall.

While officials did not immediately announce the identity of the shooter, the Washington Examiner reported that “A law enforcement source in El Paso told the Washington Examiner that 21-year-old suspect Patrick Crusius from Dallas, Texas, has been taken into custody.”

Tweet by Davis Schmiven @WheresMyArk_23

The Shooter in El Paso according to a Sargent on the scene says the shooter is Patrick Crusius

If this is true, the Twitter account associated with Patrick is full of Trump and MAGA related postings.

In the very first sentence.

FWIW his manifesto is still being hosted on twitter and being shared.

Curse Trump and the rise of fascism. Curse twitter. Curse American conservatives  for allowing this to happen under their eyes.

With apologies for going off-topic - The USA homicide-by-firearms rate is 18x the NZ rate.

EDIT

The Washington Post - At least 20 dead in El Paso shopping center shooting as authorities investigate Texas man and manifesto

August 3 at 11:04 PM

The scene of the most recent carnage - a Walmart and an adjacent shopping center in a state allowing open carry of firearms - is likely to become important symbolically in the debate over gun control.

Walmart is one of the largest gun retailers in the world and has been under pressure to curtail firearms sales. ...

I don't want to seem uncaring but the graph would seem to indicate that around 40% of the 29.7/m are Trump supporters.

Violence and threats of violence always seems to come from the pro-Trump side. It's always cowardly violence too, such as using a car to plow down peaceful protestors.

How Trump (falsely) brags about 45-year achievements

Washington Post

President Trump often insists his accomplishments happened after 45-year political stalemates, even when they didn’t.
