If he had a small chance he would try renaming the country United States of Trump.

What a train wreck - stupid POTUS with a stupid Acting WH Chief of Staff.

Asked by (Fox News Sunday) Wallace why the president "caved" to the bipartisan backlash, Mulvaney said Trump was"honestly surprised at the level of pushback," adding that the president "still considers himself to be in the hospitality business."

Ahhhaaa - what?

Timeline of the Trump Doral Resort:

1962, established as Doral Country Club.

2012 Trump buys the resort, renames it the Trump National Doral.
It had hosted the PGA tour from 1962-2006. WGC tournaments from 07-16.

2016 During his campaign, Trump goes on a racist rant about Mexican rapists etc.
WGC shifts their tournament venue to Mexico, now named the WGC-Mexico Championship.
Trump was ordered by a court to pay a supplier $32k or the resort would be foreclosed and sold.  One of many lawsuits where Trump didn't pay contractors etc.
Trump buys a large portrait of himself to hang on the wall in one of the resort bars.  He uses money from his tax-free "charity" non-profit foundation to buy the painting.

2017 The resort settled a lawsuit from a guest whose back, face, and arms were bitten by bed bugs.

2019 It's reported that the net operating income for Trump National Doral Miami resort, the flagship property and biggest moneymaker for President Trump's family business, has fallen by 69% over the past two years
The White House announced that the Doral will host the G7 summit, then under pressure cancels the plans.

Why Trump Dropped His Idea to Hold the G7 at His Own Hotel

He knew Democrats would criticize him. When Republicans started doing so, he changed his mind.

New York Times, By Maggie Haberman, Eric Lipton and Katie Rogers

He knew he was inviting criticism by choosing his own luxury golf club in Miami for the site of a gathering of world leaders at the Group of 7 summit in June, President Trump told his aides opposed to the choice, and he was prepared for the inevitable attack from Democrats.

But what Mr. Trump was not prepared for was the reaction of fellow Republicans who said his choice of the club, the Trump National Doral, had crossed a line, and they couldn’t defend it.

So Mr. Trump did something that might not have been a surprise for a president facing impeachment but that was unusual for him: He reversed himself Saturday night, abruptly ending the uproar touched off two days earlier by the announcement of his decision by Mick Mulvaney, his acting chief of staff.

“He had no choice,” Chris Christie, the former New Jersey governor and longtime friend of the president’s, said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” “It shouldn’t have been done in the first place. And it’s a good move to get out of it and get that out of the papers and off the news.”

The president first heard the criticism of his choice of the Doral watching TV, where even some Fox News personalities were disapproving. By Saturday afternoon, his concerns had deepened when he put in a call to Camp David, where Mr. Mulvaney was hosting moderate congressional Republicans for a discussion of issues facing them, including impeachment, and was told the consensus was he should reverse himself. Those moderates are among the votes Mr. Trump would need to stick with him during an impeachment.

How Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump Have Profited Off Their Dad's Presidency

No one knows a “clear conflict of interest” when they see it better than the president's children.

GQ By Jay Willis

As House Democrats continue their impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump’s efforts to leverage foreign aid for political favors, among his most ardent defenders, as usual, are Trump’s adult sons Donald Jr. and Eric.

“Why didn’t @JoeBiden recuse himself from dealing with Ukraine?” Don Jr. tweeted recently. “His son was on the board of a Ukrainian energy company that had been investigated by the prosecutor who Joe pushed to be fired.” This, Don Jr. argued, created the “appearance of impropriety,” and constituted a “clear conflict of interest.”

Eric was similarly critical of this arrangement in an appearance on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show on October 2. Hunter, Biden’s son, “didn’t know anything about the industry he was in,” Eric protested. “He didn’t have any discernible duties, and he’s getting paid $50,000 a month? And then he gets $1.5 billion from China? Laura, it’s insane.”

...Setting aside the alternative facts underlying the Trump kids’ criticisms, however, their decision to wade into this controversy is notable for a different reason: During their father’s tenure as president, Don Jr. and Eric have repeatedly managed to cash in on their newfound positions of political privilege in their business dealings. So, too, have their sister Ivanka and brother-in-law Jared Kushner, both of whom hold senior positions in the administration and whose companies and investment portfolios netted them anywhere between $29 million and $135 million last year, per their financial disclosure forms. Here are some of the highlights of when the family's business intertwining with government affairs constituted the “appearance of impropriety” and “conflict of interest.”

The New York Times - ISIS Reaps Gains of U.S. Pullout From Syria

The troop withdrawal ends American operations against the terrorist group conducted jointly with a Kurdish-led militia.

Oct. 21, 2019

American forces and their Kurdish-led partners in Syria had been conducting as many as a dozen counterterrorism missions a day against Islamic State militants, officials said. That has stopped.

Those same partners, the Syrian Democratic Forces, had also been quietly releasing some Islamic State prisoners and incorporating them into their ranks, in part as a way to keep them under watch. That, too, is now in jeopardy.

And across Syria’s porous border with Iraq, Islamic State fighters are conducting a campaign of assassination against local village headmen, in part to intimidate government informants. ...

Cutting support for the Syrian Democratic Forces has crippled the ability of the United States and its former partners to hunt down the group’s remnants. ...

Her Awesomeness
Nancy Patricia Pelosi
Speaker of the House of that country I can’t remember

Dear Speaker Pelosi:

Let's work out a good deal! You don't want to be responsible for depressing thousands of republicans, and I don't want to be responsible for destroying the American dream — and I will. I've already given you a little sample with respect to Charlottesville.

I have worked hard to make impeachment easy for you. Don't let the country down. You can make a great deal. Rudi Guilliani is willing to negotiate with you, and he is willing to make concessions that we would never have made in the past. I am confidentially enclosing a copy of his crazy certificate, just received.

History will look upon you favorably if you get this done the right and humane way by confining me at Trump National Doral, where I will be happy to offer the guards a reasonable discount on their accommodation and meals. It will look upon you forever as a very mean lady if good things don't happen to me. Don't be like you are in that picture. Please don't hurt me!

I will call you later.

Sincerely, Spanky

Facebook takedowns show new Russian activity targeted Biden, praised Trump

The company disabled a network of accounts that posed at times as locals in swing states to post on divisive political issues and the upcoming presidential election

Facebook on Monday said it removed a network of Russian-backed accounts that posed as locals weighing in on political issues in swing states, praising President Trump and attacking former vice president Joe Biden — illustrating that the familiar threat of Russian interference looms over the next U.S. presidential race.

Facebook said the network bears the hallmark of the same Kremlin-backed group that interfered in the 2016 election by sowing social discord, seeking to boost Trump and attacking Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. The new disinformation campaign appears to follow the same playbook.

This time, a coordinated group of Russian accounts that appears to show some links to the Internet Research Agency largely took to Facebook’s photo-sharing app, Instagram, to post content this year about U.S. politics and memes targeting Democratic presidential contenders.

I have no proof, but I strongly suspect Trump is a speed addict. When he rambles from beginning to end, evitably he makes a lot of loud nasal snorts. He switches nervously between agression, confusion, paranoia, and self-hype.
