I thought Trump came out as inept . Rambling speech that didnt seem at answer questions being put to him.

On a number of occasions, I cringed at his poor sentences and interuptions.

If you're a glutton for punishment, go to this site: 2016 Presidential Debate Schedule

This site has links to full debate videos and full transcripts with annotations for all three presidential debates and the VP debate.

Enjoy!  smile

His huge ego wouldn't let him concede defeat.

Exactly. If anything, he is fairly consistent.

He has been exactly as you described since the day he announced he was running. Everybody laughed. Look where is he now. Neck and neck with with Hillary depending on which poll you look at of course. It ain't over till his miss universes sing.

Reason: Americans hate Clinton more than they like Trump. I've said that since like page 2-3 of this thread

The only significant thing about this debate is that Hillary didn't have a stroke on stage, which means she will be the next President, unless Wikileaks has a photo of her in bed with Putin or Trump Jr.

A photo of her in bed with anyone could win her the election. One of the biggest problems she has is that she's just not likeable. She'd probably even get away with a photo of her in bed with Putin since everyone would be so astounded to find she really is human with human feelings and failings they would likely overlook who the partner was.

It's not a hatred for Clinton, its a rebellion against the system. People are hurting and scared of what the future will bring. Clinton will bring more of the same, with a few changes, but she cannot promise wholesale change. There's a backlash against immigrants, refugees, loss of manufacturing and industry to overseas... all the things that are affecting every single first world country on the planet. Americans aren't the only ones frightened for their futures. Then, along comes a reality TV star that makes all kinds of outrageous claims but, among them, taps into people's fears and hopes. Clinton promises reality. Trump promises a pipe dream. People have had enough of reality and they want a complete change. If he's not elected then the US could be headed for a popular uprising. It's a VERY angry country right now, and filled with people that own guns. Scary.

Horribly plausible.  undecided

I just hope that you're wrong.

If Hillary wins then expect a major conflict in the Persian Gulf within 18 months. The Putin v Clinton war will stage there.

His refusal to say he will accept the outcome of the election is extremely irresponsible. He is setting the stage for major bloody unrest. Surely that warrants prosecution of some kind?

Hes not going to admit defeat or go there now. It show weakness. He wants to prove he is strong. I personally think he is a lunatic.

I agree... any appearance of preparation for defeat now would undermine his campaign. So he's not going to do that, and the person who asked the question was setting him up... "Have you stopped beating your wife?". Sensationalist twaddle click-bait.

I kindof agree that he's been "cheated" out of the election. He can't possibly win because of the way the electoral college is set up. But surely he's known all along that he was never going to get there on a scrape-through majority... he was always going to need a big majority in the popular vote. And the electoral college is an anachronism that should be done away with. But it's hardly a conspriracy... it's the System, which he claims to be so good at playing. And he's playing it right now.

What can he do if he doesn't accept the result? Gate-crash Hillary's inauguration?  Move into the Oval Office anyway? Set up an alternative Govt? Lead the 2nd American Revolution? I expect he'll just whine a lot. Maybe take it to the courts to milk some more publicity.

Maybe some extremists will try to start a revolution. Think of it as Darwinism in action.

Chelsea bears a remarkable resemblance to James Hewitt.

That'd probably be a huge disappointment to the Russian LGBT community, who've hopes that Putin would come out of the closet with a horse.

There has been 1500 posts in this thread. Thats just us. I wonder what its like over there? Is it the talk of the town, or are they just used to dirty laundry campaigning? I was there once when Louisiana, where I was based, state elections were on. Same thing. less about politics, its about cutting out the opposition by dirty laundry. Hence, every politician is made out to be bad
