SJB:

Trump is the main target for us (ie the people who inhabit GZ) but there are any number of others around the world these days that deserve the same attention but don't get it because (a) we don't live there and (b) they are not so much in the media so fly under the day-to-day radar.

Think Erdogan, Duterte, Bolsinaro, Putin, Kim Jong-un.

These people are as equally revolting as Trump if not more so and do a lot worse things to their citizens than he ever could. They also have less of an excuse because some of them are intelligent whereas he is not and is way out of his depth.

Traditionally the USA has been looked up to as a leader to keep such individuals in check. Not only is the Trump administration not doing that, there is compelling evidence on the public record that Trump is actually colluding with some of them for political and financial gain.

While you are correct that we should always be calling out revolting behaviour when it happens, I understand why Trump gets a bigger focus.

Kim & Putin have brains for sure. I think Erdogan is fairly smart too - he's certainly managed to play the Russians off against the Americans pretty well (and of course Putin was happy to let him). Duterte & Bolsinaro come across to me as opportunists who are not the brightest but aren't complete morons.

Xi Jinping should be included. He is not as high profile as Trump, Putin and Kim but he is dangerous. Putin, Trump and Xi Jinping can bring wide spread destruction. These three remind of the early 20th century and it's scary. Trump is a high profile due to our long history with the US and we are theoretically  Allies and friends. As for intelligence I would say 99% of world leaders have more intelligence than Trump, he is not a stable genius he is an unstable muppet.

I know he looks like a muppet but he's more of a puppet.

TREXIT - Vote him out. Drag him out. Take him out. Either way, Trump's gotta go.

Worse - he is an unstable muppet who truly, genuinely, believes that he is a stable genius.

sir1963: Yep, his death will be the greatest thing he will ever do for the betterment of humanity.

I don't want him to die ... until he spends at least one day in jail facing a decade long jail sentence, with no chance of being pardoned or paroled.

Though his "friends" are facing jail sentences, he needs to be made an example. Justice is equal for all.

Yes, exactly. Bolsinaro (for example) is no genius, but he's well aware he's a criminal and doesn't care because he 100% knows he can get away with it. But Donald Trump truly, honestly believes he's the bestest and smarterest, and that everything he does is perfect. In his mind, everyone really is being unfair to him.

No, we can do much worse than that. Give him a couple of years in jail, but more importantly strip him of all his assets as damages. Legally bar him from company ownership or management and from borrowing money. Make him spend the rest of his life trying to make rent on his one room bedsit apartment by flipping burgers at McDonalds for minimum wage. That is how you punish Donald Trump.

How about we don't actually sent him to a traditional "jail", but a staged mock-up of his current life. All media he consumes, including Fox News will be showing negative coverage of him 24 hours a day. All polls will show a 100% disapproval rating, and there will be constant footage of foreign leaders openly mocking him. He will still think he's attending his Trump pep rallys, but the venues hosting them will either be empty or have single digit attendees. That is how you punish Donald Trump.

The Trumpman Show. Just like the Truman Show, except all the actors are dedicated to telling Donald Trump how much he sucks, 24 hours a day.

Precisely!

For season 2, he can watch his wealth slowly dissipate. Season 3 we see Melania leave him, and Ivanka, Don Jr,  Eric, and the other one turn against him. Season 4 sees a change in the constitution allowing Presidents to serve more than two terms. This buoys his spirits, until Trump loses the 2024 election with the Electoral College votes going 538 - 0 to Obama (not Barack, but Michelle).

We just can't let him know that he's the star of a hit "reality" show. He'd like that. Or perhaps we DO let him know, but ratings for it are so close to 0 as to be statistically insignificant.

BBC News - 'Dotage of a dotard': North Korea renews attack on Donald Trump

breaking

North Korea has renewed its verbal attacks on President Trump, after he threatened military action.

The foreign ministry said if Mr Trump was confrontational, it "must really be diagnosed as the relapse of the dotage of a dotard".

The North first called Mr Trump a "dotard" in 2017.

It is the first time in over a year that Pyongyang has been openly critical of Donald Trump, the BBC's Korea correspondent Laura Bicker said.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines a dotard as "a person whose mental faculties are impaired, specifically, a person whose intellect or understanding is impaired in old age".

Dotage is defined as "having impaired intellect or understanding in old age"...

Fair comment.  🙃
