Fred99:

I'm damned pleased to hear that.  Egalitarianism is a great thing.

Whoosh!

Winstone must be delighted after his attack on the National party leadership.  Even S Bridges is doing his part calling his deputy Paula Bennett. Another nail in the coffin???

It seems a little ironic that in gleefully pointing out a simple misspoken name by the leader of the opposition you didn't even manage to spell the name of your own leader correctly?

Just pointing something out - he's your leader too.  Only a few days to go.

/me shudders. Thanks for reminding me.

To be fair I am not sure who is worse. They are both terrible for different reasons.

Fred99: Perhaps - regardless of any margin of error for that poll - it's time to start realising that Bridges has the universal appeal and "common touch" of a cold porridge sandwich served with a side of sardines.

Imo Bridges is doing ok holding up the National party vote. If he stuffed up badly it would be reflected there and it would be news. Clark never really rated as leader while in opposition, it wasn't a problem.

@gulfa, I have edited your post and removed replies quoting it.

In this forum we do not use "funny" names. It's a breach of FUG.

Not a funnyname breach in this case gulfa referring to this:

Stuff: Bridges was discussing Acting Prime Minister Winston Peters' attacks on him and his co-leader when he accidentally uttered the insult. "Winston Peters spends a huge amount of time on me, on Paula Ben, Benefit, Bennett," Bridges said. "Let's start that again," he then laughed.

Personally I've not heard it used as an insult. I heard a newsreader/interviewer misspeak the same a while back. Is it used that way sometimes?

I didn't realise that quoting something from major media releases could be attributed to me.  I consider some of the comments made earlier about JA's baby and referring to it was far more

concerning as a result I am also sick of the personal attacks made on me by a couple of forum posters that I will close my account.

gulfa: I didn't realise that quoting something from major media releases could be attributed to me.

It was attributed to you precisely because you did not quote it and provide a source. There really was no way for a mod to know what you were talking about.

Also, if someone personally attacks you, it is an ad-hominem attack, and it is prohibited by the forum user guidelines.

The mods are unlikely to read every post in every topic. I would encourage you to use the report button on the offending post if that occurs and mods can take action.
