Bridges really got to JA in the debating chamber yesterday.

At one point she looked like she was about to stamp her feet and throw her toys out the pram.

A pretty unprofessional look.

for her mental health, for her baby's wellbeing

Blatant racism is banned in these forums - perhaps blatant sexism should be too - in this circle-jerk of (probably mainly middle-aged white men) pushing their antiquated conservative patriarchal values on women.

Do you disregard her mental health? Or the baby's well-being? In which case you should be banned.

And just remind me how your hypocritical reference to middle aged white men is not racist, or sexism?

Calm down. Yes, it's sexist. Yes, sexism is mainly from one type of people towards other type of people in generally well known groups.

Some people act all "You are racist for pointing out my racism".

As much as the truth hurts, @Fred99, it is still the truth.

These aren't the thoughts of antiquated conservative patriarchs - they're the words of Ardern herself!

I do live in constant fear of what might be. Clarke really tries to pull me back from the precipice of anxiety a lot, but it's just who I am," she says.

Ms Ardern says the pressure and anxiety has ballooned since she took over as second in command, adding that it would be unmanageable as leader.

"I hate letting people down. I hate feeling like I'm not doing the job as well as I should. I've got a pretty big weight of responsibility right now (as Deputy Leader); I can't imagine doing much more than that," she says.

"When you're a bit of an anxious person, and you constantly worry about things, there comes a point where certain jobs are just really bad for you.

And with respect to her child:

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced the extension today saying it's part of the Labour-led Government's promise to better support working families with new-born and young children.

"This is a key part of our Families Package and one all three parties of government have been proud to support because it’s the right thing to do," she said.

"We want children to have the best start in life. Evidence shows having a parent at home as long as possible to care for a child provides a huge benefit for that child's development.

But it's reassuring to note that you're remaining true to form and going straight for the name-calling and ban-seeking responses.

Locking this because I see people hate the politics but get all personal.

If you can't behave, you don't play here.
