That would be one section of the vote sewn up if it were true!

Judith Collins? Political experience, yes but I feel she is way too polarising and brings a tonne of baggage. I'll be interested to see what the next polls say.

Plus all those billboards (and there are a LOT of them in my area) with Toddy's image will need to be replaced now. Hope they have a big enough budget for it.

This far out from the election, I don't think National had any choice, as they are now going for experience. So no surprise at all. Not too surprise about GB either as deputy, but IMO he has had his day. SB may have been a better deputy but maybe he didn't want it, since losing the rime minster job, and he seems happier now.  But we do need to remember that Bill English was rolled by John Key and leader,  and became deputy, and that team worked well.

At least there is now an opposition leadership again, so that they can keep the government honest, as a strong democracy needs a strong opposition party IMO.

English was rolled by Brash. Brash was rolled by Key.

Lots of people tipping Collins and Goldsmith.

Juco has her own battle to fight but she will be an interesting proposition for the debates.

Goldsmith is very anti-public transport and I won't vote for the Nats if he is in a key role

Goldsmith cant be Finance thats shocking. he was PR for Labpour then PR for Nats and is an authro, thats not a basis for Finance

y'all need to remember that to have a good government you need good and effective opposition.

opposition is as important as the govt.

otherwise you get - better not say, might get people upset ...

at the end of the day the democracy (MMP) will play itself out

and as we saw last time getting most votes doesn't mean you get to govern. Going to bed (figurative i don't mean literally) with Winston is and has, every time since MMP, been the key.

The last sentence is pertinent and based on her recent comments and adjectives, that what's it will be.

Imo too early for anyone to draw a conclusion. There are a wide range of issues which can have a similar appearance even to the person experiencing them.

Btw this is the Muller topic. Please use the 2020 election topic for the more general party and election discussion.

Or better still, as you would want in a similar situation reversed, let's NOT discuss others (mental) health at all, or surmise, comment, conclude or guess anything about it. It's none of our business and we have nothing of use to contribute to whatever condition he/she/they may or may not be suffering from.

100%. We see times where someone asks for privacy, we give that, no hesitation. if a politician asks for that, its the same, leave them alone.

It's actually worse than that. We shouldn't discuss it regardless of whether they ask for privacy or not. There is no reason for anyone to be discussing someones (mental) health unless they ask them to.
