Thanks for that, super handy. Opened it up to hear the police are throwing sulfuric acid!

In terms of other protests of note that had broad support their numbers are tiny.
Thus the use of vehicles to multiply the effect by 10 or 100x people they could muster.
So children or not, that's not a significant number.
Asking people to put children in front of the violent is beyond irresponsible.
People who were throwing eggs at and hazing children walking to the local school.

There seem to be many people there just for a rumble with police, a bit of biffo or worse.
Some of the most Unchristian Christians one may hope not to meet, to various other extremes.
A country with Brian Tamaki or his rich friends in charge would not be a paradise.

Police are not there to take a beating, they have families to go home to,
there will be defense and response.

Its quite different from your normal protest, a bit of passive resistance mostly, or limited physical resistance.

How long do you have to leave a vehicle abandoned and illegally parked before it becomes 'legally abandoned',
you lose all rights of ownership, and it can be disposed of without compensation ?

Yay !  Finally !

I do hope that Police injuries are very few, they don't deserve this level of violence.
I also hope that Judges don't go soft on the violent thugs.
An attack on Police is and attack on everyone, weeks of notice was given, and violence and arson no excuse.
We all know having done a fair bit of Home Detention its a doddle.

Well it's less to clean up but shame about the pollution.

All those portaloos belong to someone/some company. Take them all away, destroy them as hazardous material and charge the owner for the service.

It’ll be interesting to see the political outcomes from the protest being broken up. These sort of things are normally great for the government of the day. Seymour and Luxon have tried to have their cake and eat it by appealing to the anti mandate set while being “tough on crime.”

The government will try and tag them pretty hard with this.

I feel for the people who will be made to go clean the mess up, likely tonight.

Why? Presumably they will be paid. Unfortunately we can't make those responsible won't have to contribute.

Technically yes, they will get paid. But no more than if they had just gone home this evening instead. And they certainly won't get a choice in the matter.

And yes, it is a crying shame that those responsible aren't made to contribute.

Which piece of law would you enforce that under?

Labour & Jacinda allowed the protest to grow to that size. I don't think its going to be great for the government.

The left bloc has already been bleeding support to the right for months
