neb: Ukrposhta's online shop, which was accessible two days ago, seems to have gone AWOL. Looks like demand for That Stamp has overwhelmed them :-).
Or it got hit with a bomb or shell.
So hard to read all this stuff.

The main web site is still online, it's only the stamp store that's gone, so I'm hoping it's just due to lots of demand.

The Guardian - Putin’s key supporters are now playing a desperate face-saving game in Ukraine
21 April
Russia’s war in Ukraine is not going according to plan. ...
For Putin, the war has revealed the true state of affairs within both the military and intelligence apparatus.
Intelligence took the first blow.
Moscow’s original plan was to take Kyiv in two days.
Russian troops brought parade uniforms, expecting to march down Khreshchatyk in a victory celebration.
The ambitious plan was based on intelligence reports that Ukrainians would greet Russian soldiers as liberators – false information that led to massive strategic miscalculations and losses during the war’s first stage.
The military has also come under scrutiny.
The war has shown the world the pathetic state of the Russian army, a consequence of decades of deferred maintenance and blatant corruption.
Low morale, lack of training, and equipment failures have shone an unflattering light on what is apparently the world’s second strongest army.
As a result of these failures, Putin has learned that some of his closest friends and allies have lied, misappropriated funds and forged reports for a significant part of his rule.
His inner circle may not be as trustworthy as he thought. ...
Sideface
$1Bilion dollars a day pays for lots of mercenaries.
Though there is talk Russian soldiers are not getting their pay on time and service bonuses.
So by the time everyone in-between has skimmed their cut maybe none left to go around.
Apparently Russia has been pressing 55-60 year olds into service in Donbass, and maybe also going after under 18s

“According to Ukrainian intelligence, yesterday in the Pologovsky district Russian troops started to rebel: Russia’s soldiers didn’t want to fight because they have not received their promised payouts. [Ramzan] Kadyrov’s men brutally killed three of the instigators of the riot who were ready to lay down their weapons and head home,” Arefyev wrote.

Has anyone got together to assess oil and gas diversions? I assume so, maybe there are few alternatives right now?

What I did not know is that large quantities of LPG can be shipped, so Europe is not entirely reliant on pipe lines. The article the image below comes from says that more, and larger, such ships are being ordered, so if there is capacity elsewhere, Russia will eventually lose one of it's biggest earning streams.
The information we are seeing about Russia is quite extraordinary. Of course we have become total sceptics when it comes to information nowadays, so we are have to be careful about our sources. I love Peter Ziehan's GeoPop channel, but welcome opinions on other sources we could consider trustworthy?

10 minute sound bites. There is other US based political stuff in there, but you can just skip those episodes.
On Spotify I listen to Ukrainecast, which is decent.

I have a feeling somebody will buy it. IIRC about 1/3 of the UN voted in support of Russia and about 1/4 abstained from voting against Russia.
India is stockpiling for one, and no doubt China would have been getting cheap oil too.

My post was Europe and oil and gas from anywhere else. Ukraine is in Europe. Who cares what India and China do, thats another chapter
neb: Apropos of nothing, but the number of deaths in Putin's war is currently about the same as the number of gun deaths in the US. One is an active war zone, one isn't.
One has one causer, one doesn't?
Interesting article, draw your own conclusions.

kingdragonfly: it's cheaper at less than NZD $10,000, about 1/4 the cost of a stinger
And one fifteenth the cost of Russia's duct tape special, the Orlan-10. Which also doesn't have any offensive capability.
