So a venal narcissist is surprised another venal narcissist does not show gratitude. Yeh Right

Musk showed little gratitude for those that bought his cars in the early years, fought for his green subsidies and grants. Obama that came in at a critical time with a $450M government loan and more ( While GOP were opposing ).

Sold his soul to Drill baby Drill, Clean Coal MAGA who did nothing for his rise.
Just go back to the Trumpy stuff Elon bought into with the X interview with Trump.

Elon thought he bought and owned the orange TACO.

Trump even picked out that Elon 'wore the hat'.
The hat that said 'TRUMP WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING'  ( So now? )

The smartest testosterone men in the room are Thiel and Techbros who just stood back and let Elon take all the risks so they could get J D Vance ready and waiting.

The worst happens to Musk they can pick up his businesses for a song and say, look its all good you can buy Teslas again now, our hands are clean.

The truth is also Musk if as he claims is the quintesential 'smartest man in any room' knew what he was buying into with Trump.

Its why he put the Orange TACO in charge.

Maybe Ai can change the faces on this one ...

BarTender:

I am personally surprised it lasted this long… but I do believe they will kiss and make up in time as their mutual love of money will ultimately drive them back together.

But who knows.

Their love of their own egos may prevent any kiss and make up. Also when it comes to grudges Trump is like a Rottweiler, he doesn't let go.

I think given the level of nuclear-ness that Elon is now showing towards the orange buffoon, I think any making up is a long, long way away, if ever.

The argument is over. They're already back together. Exclusive footage of Maga and Dark Maga.

Quickymart you were right. The argument is still going. Ironically the Donald Trump and Elon Musk threads have never been so close together.

The Bulwark has a really good analysis of the whole sorry(?) saga.

Whether they make peace or not, it would be malpractice for Democrats not to make this whole sordid episode a bedrock part of their critique of the Trump administration.

And there is still the question:

What kind of life would that be in a Mars suit? A simple nutritional analysis shows what a poor person would have to eat to “replace” a simple daily walk in the fresh air. Life on Mars is not an alternative.

Throwing Rocks at Trump won't get the Dems into office until they have gone though a decent amount of internal knife fights and blood on the floor, but I don't think they have the foresight to see that yet....

Nobody can tell me that there is nobody in the USA who is not capable of running the state properly. I rather believe that the people in question are busy making much more money in their profession than in politics and therefore prefer to leave it to the dumber rich.

George Carlin addressed this issue about thirty years ago.

"Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. F*ck hope.'"

Starship go Boom in test with only partial test load.
Imagine what it might have been with a full load on top of a many times larger load of the booster.
Not sure if anyone has modeled the destruction radius of a full load failure.
Then these things are supposed to be robust enough for constant quick turn reuse.

Oh you don't want to breathe the smoke cloud of the burning tank farm either.

Earliest start of unzipping on left and the state of the test area after it disappeared on right..
