Guliani might just be playing things out for time for when Trump has levers of power.
Not that Trump has done that much for his supposed old friend it was Roger Stone that got the pardon.

Like Elon Musk, for Trump friendship is based on your immediate, present and continuing utility to him.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump’s choice to lead the nation’s health agencies, formally asked the Food and Drug Administration to revoke the authorization of all Covid vaccines during a deadly phase of the pandemic when thousands of Americans were still dying every week.

Mr. Kennedy filed a petition with the F.D.A. in May 2021 demanding that officials rescind authorization for the shots and refrain from approving any Covid vaccine in the future.

Just six months earlier, Mr. Trump had declared the Covid vaccines a miracle. At the time Mr. Kennedy filed the petition, half of American adults were receiving their shots. Schools were reopening and churches were filling. ...

The petition was filed on behalf of the nonprofit that Mr. Kennedy founded and led, Children’s Health Defense.

It claimed that the risks of the vaccines outweighed the benefits and that the vaccines weren’t necessary because good treatments were available, including ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, which had already been deemed ineffective against the virus.

The FDA promptly and quietly denied the petition. 🙄

The release of Tarrio, perhaps the most notorious figure to face prosecution for the Capitol breach, would be a strong sign that Trump will grant blanket pardons of virtually all 1,600 defendants.

Absolutely disgusting. There is no accountability in the justice system in the US anymore if you're not on the orange buffoon's side. Deplorable isn't a good enough word for these thugs, despicable is better 😠

As I said in the other thread though, at least they'll have this on their criminal records forever 👍

On Jan. 6, 2021, Philip Sean Grillo, a former Republican district leader in Queens, jumped through a broken window at the U.S. Capitol with a megaphone. He pushed his way past a line of Capitol Police officers and opened the exterior doors of the Rotunda to allow other rioters to enter the building and trash it.

“We stormed the Capitol!” he exulted on video, and was seen smoking marijuana and high-fiving other Donald Trump supporters who were fighting the police. “We shut it down! We did it!”

Nearly three years later, a federal jury convicted Mr. Grillo of multiple offenses. But he did not lose heart: Last month, when he was sentenced to a year in prison, he had a special taunt for the federal district judge who sentenced him, Royce Lamberth.

“Trump’s going to pardon me anyways,” he yelled at the judge, just before he was handcuffed and led away.

He was right. On Monday evening, several hours after President Trump was inaugurated, he fulfilled a promise he had repeatedly made to pardon nearly all the rioters who attacked and desecrated the Capitol in 2021 to prevent Joe Biden’s victory from being certified. ...

A presidential pardon for Mr. Grillo makes a mockery of his jury’s verdict and of Judge Lamberth’s sentence.

Perhaps the most visible face of the rioters, Jacob Chansley, known as the “Qanon shaman”, wrote on Twitter/X that he had just gotten the news from his lawyer that he was pardoned.

Chansley, who stormed the Capitol in horns and a fur pelt, was released early from prison in 2023.

He wrote on X :

“I JUST GOT THE NEWS FROM MY LAWYER... I GOT A PARDON BABY! THANK YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP!!!

Fun fact: the pardon doesn't actually expunge his criminal record and does not actually mean that he can suddenly buy a gun if he was barred before as a convicted felon - he's still a convicted felon.

Now this is something I didn't expect to see - a (former) deplorable who was there on January 6, was arrested, charged, jailed and released actually declining a pardon from the orange buffoon!
