The NY Times - Giuliani Sued Over Unpaid Legal Fees by Lawyer Who Led His Defense

Rudolph W. Giuliani, already under criminal indictment and at risk of losing his law license for his effort to keep Donald J. Trump in office after the 2020 election, is now being sued by his own lawyer.

The lawyer, Robert J. Costello, who had been leading Mr. Giuliani’s defense against an onslaught of legal woes, signed onto the lawsuit brought by his firm on Monday to recover more than $1.3 million in unpaid legal fees.

The development deals a stunning blow to Mr. Giuliani, as he nears a financial breaking point.

The article mentions Matt Gaetz in passing. The congressman still under FBI investigation allegedly sex-trafficked a 17-year-old.

His close travelling buddy Joel Greenberg Joel Greenberg, was charged with a host of crimes — from falsely smearing a political rival as being a pedophile to cheating taxpayers in a cryptocurrency scheme to sex-trafficking the same 17-year-old in the Gaetz investigation.

Gaetz girlfriend also testified against him on the same trafficking charges.

Greene, who had previously described the war as “the new Iraq,”called on president of Ukraine Zelensky directly during her CPAC remarks to “leave your hands off of our sons and daughters because they’re not dying there.”

Greene reiterated her commitment to stop U.S. funding for the war in Ukraine, “that country needs to find peace, not war.”

During her remarks, Green also announced her plan to reintroduce legislation that would make it a felony to “perform anything to do with gender-affirming care on children,” legislation she alluded to passing under Republican control of the House.

Given how much of a sleazebag Rudy has become, this doesn't surprise me, but I find it disgusting at the same time. He's nothing but a dirty old man, much like his mentor the orange buffoon. Is this (yet another) court case on the cards for Rudy?

DeSantis Slams Biden Climate Policy: ‘An Agenda to Control You’

Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida on Wednesday unveiled an energy plan in the heart of oil country, criticizing electric vehicles and global climate agreements, promising lower fuel prices and pushing for more oil and gas development.

In a policy rollout at an oil rig site in Midland — a West Texas city that derives much of its economy from oil production — Mr. DeSantis seemed to make a general-election argument, promising to roll back several of the Biden administration’s climate initiatives, calling them “part of an agenda to control you and to control our behavior.”

In a lengthy, six-pronged policy outline, Mr. DeSantis promised to remove subsidies for electric vehicles, take the U.S. out of global climate agreements — including the Paris accords — and cancel net-zero emission promises. He also vowed to increase American oil and natural gas production and “replace the phrase climate change with energy dominance” in policy guidance.

ATLANTA - A defendant in the sweeping election-interference case against former president Donald Trump and 18 others in Fulton County, Ga., became the first to plead guilty on Friday.

Scott Hall, a 59-year-old bail bondsman from the Augusta area who prosecutors alleged played a wide-ranging role in efforts to overturn Trump’s loss in Georgia, pleaded guilty to five counts of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with the performance of election duties.

Hall agreed to serve five years of probation and, importantly for the prosecution’s case, will testify.
