Mark Robinson's is running for governor for North Carolina. As a politician publicly Robinson frequently speaks about upholding traditional Christian beliefs. He has been vocal about his opposition to abortion and same-sex marriage.

He often want to integrate faith into politics, stating that Christian values should guide public policy. Robinson has argued that the removal of prayer from schools is a cause of societal issues, including school shootings.

He has criticized educational content related to sexuality and gender identity, calling it "filth".

He has expressed the belief that men should lead in both the church and the home.

His gubernatorial bid is backed by Donald Trump.

Despite that (or maybe because of that) North Carolina was rocked by reports alleging that Robinson made racist and sexist posts on a pornography site over a decade ago.

Robinson, allegedly made a series of inflammatory comments on a message board of the pornography site Nude Africa, which included calling himself a "black NAZI."

Robinson's prolific comments would cause blushing from the late Larry Flynt, porn mogul And 'Hustler' founder. Though it didn't include minors thankfully, much of what gets him off is extreme enough to be illegal in the Bible Belt state (though legal in New York.)

Mr. Robinson

Another bunch of deplorables. Men in Afghanistan who did not speak up. Now Taliban hard laws are targeting men too.

New laws promulgated in late August mandate that men wear a fist-long beard, bar them from imitating non-Muslims in appearance or behavior, widely interpreted as a prohibition against jeans, and ban haircuts that are against Islamic law, which essentially means short or Western styles. Men are now also prohibited from looking at women other than their wives or relatives.

“If men had raised their voices, we might also be in a different situation now,” said a male resident of the capital, Kabul, who like others interviewed for this story spoke on the condition of anonymity or that only their first names be used due to fears of drawing unwanted scrutiny from the regime. “Now, everyone is growing a beard because we don’t want to be questioned, humiliated,” he said.

They said nothing when it was targeting women.

Cowards and women-hating fools.

You may remember a Christchurch man running company with Nazi-themed imagery charged over sharing objectional material.

His company vans' feature a black sun image text reading '$14.88 a metre', both of which are linked with neo-nazi and white supremacist groups.

NewsWeek: Trump supporter Mike Lindell's New MyPillow Price Sparks 'Nazi' Claims

Mike Lindell, the founder and CEO of MyPillow, has been accused of marking some products down to a price that mirrors a neo-Nazi slogan.

MyPillow posted an advertisement on X, formerly Twitter, on September 20 that their "Standard Classic MyPillow" which usually sells for between $29.99 and $49.98, was being marked down to $14.88.

This specific price of $14.88 raised eyebrows as, to keen observers, it is affiliated with white supremacists and online neo-Nazi groups.
...
This is because, according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the number 88 is used in white supremacist circles as shorthand for Heil Hitler. The letter H is the eighth letter of the alphabet, so two Hs together are "Heil Hitler" to those in the know.

Additionally, per the ADL, the number 14 refers to the "14-word slogan," a phrase coined by white supremacist David Lane.

Lane, who was a member of white supremacist group The Order said: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." Those in such circles who wish to refer back to this slogan do so by citing the number 14.
...
Lindell then lost more than $100 million from MyPillow following his 2020 election denial. His product was pulled from major outlets such as Kohl's, Walmart, and Bed Bath & Beyond, who cited low customer demand.

He became an ardent Donald Trump supporter in 2016, and was forced to pay $5 million to computer forensics expert Robert Ziedman in 2024 after making a public pledge to pay that sum to anyone who could disprove that the 2020 election was rigged in President Joe Biden's favor.

Ziedman proved that Lindell's account of the election being "rigged" was incorrect and Lindell was forced to hand over the money.

As well as running MyPillow, Lindell hosts the website FrankSpeech, which is a platform for right-wing pundits such as Diamond and Silk, and Mike Crispi, as well as his own thoughts.

Washington Post: Democrats — and Nikki Haley — knock GOP Senate hopeful over suburban women comments

Bernie Moreno, the Republican nominee for Senate in the battleground state of Ohio, is facing criticism from Democrats and a prominent fellow Republican over comments he made about suburban women and abortion.
...
“You know, the left has a lot of single-issue voters,” Moreno said. “Sadly, by the way, there’s a lot of suburban women, a lot of suburban women that are like, ‘Listen, abortion is it. If I can’t have an abortion in this country whenever I want, I will vote for anybody else.’ … Okay. It’s a little crazy, by the way, but — especially for women that are, like, past 50 — I’m thinking to myself, ‘I don’t think that’s an issue for you.’”
...
“Are you trying to lose the election?” former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said Tuesday morning on X. “Asking for a friend.”

The NY Times - Fox News Settles Defamation Suit for $787.5 Million, Dominion Says

BREAKING

Fox News reached a last-minute settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, which accused Fox News of pushing conspiracies that harmed the company.

The terms of the settlement - including a monetary payout or any other requirements attached to the deal - remain unknown. Dominion had initially demanded $1.6 billion in damages.

Some critics of Fox News had hoped the network would be put through a grueling six-week trial, with its hosts forced to answer direct questions about whether they believed election fraud claims.

But this result shouldn't be a surprise. The vast majority of libel cases settle before trial, legal scholars say.

The settlement includes a $787.5 million payment from Fox, according to Dominion's lawyers. “The truth matters,” said Dominion lawyer Justin Nelson. “Lies have consequences.”

One of Dominion's lawyers, Stephen Shackelford, said the settlement with Fox isn't the end of the efforts to push back against disinformation about the company: “We’re not done yet. We have some other people who have some accountability coming toward them."

EDIT:  The Fox News website has made no mention of the settlement as yet.  Surprise!  😏

And now another voting firm has settled with a conservative "news outlet" for spreading ridiculous lies about the 2020 election:

The NY Times - Kushner’s Fund Has Reaped Millions in Fees, but So Far Returned No Profits

25 Sep 2024

The son-in-law of former President Donald J. Trump has said he has intentionally moved slowly to invest investors’ money, which came primarily from foreign entities.

The private equity firm run by Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Donald J. Trump, has been paid at least $112 million in fees since 2021 by Saudi Arabia and other foreign investors, even though as of July it had not yet returned any profits to the governments largely bankrolling the firm.

Those are among the findings of a Senate Finance Committee inquiry into the operations of Affinity Partners, the Miami-based firm Mr. Kushner set up. ...

Affinity’s investors may not be motivated by commercial considerations but rather the opportunity to funnel foreign government money to members of President Trump’s family, namely Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.” [quoting the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee]

Yet another Trump rort.  😟

I used to have some respect and support for Key in the early days, but since his departure from office, he seems to be showing us who he really is.
To say that Trump would be the better leader and that he "has his faults, but..." is tantamount to saying that the great Austrian Painter was only slightly flawed and generally had good ideas, executed poorly.

I'm sorry, John - you lost any respect you may have had remaining and you're showing yourself to be out of touch with the rest of humanity.

I vote for this. Trump is a certifiable narcissistic megalomaniac surrounded by anti-democratic enablers. He cannot be viewed separate from his 'policies', even those that might make sense to some. If Trump gets elected, the whole world loses. How anyone with a brain can still not see that mystifies me.
