kingdragonfly: Regarding "[Trump] isn't going to lift a finger to help you"

It's not entirely true. He's about reciprocity.

For example your politics don't matter as long you've licked his boots previously. Then he'll help you, perhaps even pardon you, absolve you of any crimes.

I agree with your point, both Roger Stone and Steve Bannon were given pardons. I guess speaking more generally, Trump won't help anyone who helps him, unless he can see a need for him in the future.

I guess that explains why he's done next-to-nothing to help someone like Rudy, for example.

My recollection is Trump pardoned most of the people at the top who were involved with him and pretty much ignored those who were further down the chain.

https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2021/01/trump-never-cared-about-his-fans-his-pardons-prove-it/

The people who he dealt with directly were important to him because they provided him with funds and because they might incriminate him. The rest, out in the cold.

Yep, all the thugs involved in invading the Capitol on January 6? They failed, therefore they were of no use to him, so he hung out to dry and walked away while they went to jail for him.

I note that he paid the lawyers bills for exactly 0 of them afterwards.

It's only now he wants their votes as another election's coming up that he's starting to dangle or wave presidential pardons in front of them for their crimes 🙄

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/10/05/politics/republican-candidates-2020-election-results/index.html

Jesus, what a long and depressing list - these are the Republican nominees for this year who either objected to Biden's win, thought it was illegitimate or called 2020 "stolen" (from the orange buffoon).

What a bunch of sore, sore losers. I'd love to see them all crash and burn at the upcoming election.

In fact, will this "stolen election" madness ever stop???

What concerns me is even if (by some miracle) all of these morons got voted out next month, there would be the next generation of "MAGA election deniers" ready to step in and take their place next time 😠

That was oddly specific :(

Oklahoma's education department seemingly wants to buy 55,000 Trump Bibles: Salon

Oklahoma public school officials are taking bids for 55,000 new Bibles, and the specifications are eye-catchingly specific.

Republican Superintendent Ryan Walters is searching for King James Bibles containing both the Old and New Testaments, with the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, Pledge of Allegiance, and Declaration of Independence inserted, “bound in leather or leather-like material for durability.”

Oklahoma Watch asked Christian education material supplier Mardel to check its 2,900 Bible options against the specs. They found no matches. However, the publication found two: the $60 Donald Trump-endorsed “God Bless the U.S.A. Bible” from Lee Greenwood, and the $90 Donald Trump Jr.-backed “We The People Bible.”

Those Bibles made headlines in March as the ex-president's latest branded venture, succeeding a sneaker launch and a series of NFTs. Trump gets a cut of each Lee Greenwood Bible sale.

Musk family Values.

Like Mother like Son, and then there is Dad.

Elon Musk's Mom Hit With Blunt Community Note On X After Encouraging Voter Fraud
Maye Musk swiped at Democrats and urged people to vote multiple times under fake names.

“The Democrats have given us another option. You don’t have to register to vote. On Election Day, have 10 fake names, go to 10 polling booths and vote 10 times. That’s 100 votes, and it’s not illegal. Maybe we should work the system too,” she wrote Saturday on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.

She was sharing a tweet from her son encouraging people to register to vote.

Shout their criminal advice out loud, while alleging others do this with no evidence.
While historically rare and somewhat more Republican.

No its not legal either, descending into fantasy, like Peters and Sov Cits.

Just like sex crimes like pedophilia, Republicans seem to excel at "he that smelled it, dealt it"

The deep ironies in the GOP's war on 'voter fraud': MSNBC

Another person has been sentenced for committing voter fraud during the 2020 election — and once again it was on behalf of a Republican candidate. An Iowa woman named Kim Taylor was sentenced to four months in prison Monday after a federal jury convicted her last year on more than 50 counts of voter fraud as part of a scheme to help her husband in a congressional primary and a county supervisor race.

No matter what former President Donald Trump claims, actual incidents of voter fraud are extremely rare. Those instances that have come to light in the aftermath of the 2020 election are nowhere near widespread enough to swing a presidential election, let alone most down-ballot races. Taylor’s case, one of those rare instances, highlights one supreme irony of the GOP’s obsession with voter fraud: many of the cases of knowing fraud that have been prosecuted since then have had Republicans as the perpetrators.

https://meidasnews.com/news/rudy-begs-court-not-to-collect-his-unpaid-legal-fees-from-trump

Aw, poor Rudy. Nothing paid to him in three years? Yeah, I think he really needs to move on from the idea (or hope) that the orange buffoon is going to bail him out.

Rudy Giuliani was forced to admit that the Trump campaign owed him $2 million in unpaid legal fees. Now he is begging a court not to collect that money since it will make it look like he is suing Trump right before the election.

Oh no! Perish the thought! 😀

Three loser Trump lawyers are making a plan to decide what to do after the next election (if he wins).

...and great. Election-denying deplorables get a foothold in Georgia. Can't anyone do anything about these morons? Surely the governor could speak out against them, at least?
