Yeh its not a pretty picture and USA does not do a second runoff like some places.
People do want to think on if they want to skate so close to another Trump presidency, and their last election.
That is quite worrying. Even more worrying - and depressing - is that (somehow) a reasonable portion of voters will still vote for Trump, even if he's convicted and sentenced to jail!
Honestly people, Trump couldn't care less about you, and he won't make things better for you either.

They are not listening. They might as well cast their votes now.
Correct me if I am wrong here: If Jo Biden is elected again then either becomes irrevocably incapacitated and unable to carry out his sworn duties or dies, then:
Vice President Kamala Harris is sworn in, but if she is sworn in within the first two years of Bidens term, it is classed as one full four year term for her and she can in theory serve only 8 years. But if she is sworn in in the third year then she can in theory serve ten years.
Am I correct in this assumption?
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
Haley: The civil war was about freedom, you know, the freedom to own slaves and things like that!

I've been seeing some very robust discourse on this one. The Articles of Secession the states wrote made very plainly clear that slavery was the reason that they were seceding from the United States - in fact a couple of the more egregious ones even went into explicit detail that "negros" (I do not support this term, but include it for context) were an "inferior race" and that their default position was to be subservient to the "superior race". If they wrote this today, it would be sickening, and they'd probably have a number of countries declare war on them.
Specifically though, it was about the fact the US federal government refused to use their power to overrule northern state laws that were designed specifically to counter the federal law that required non-slave states to return slaves to their slave-holding state and refused to enforce the federal law. The interesting part is that the Confederate Constitution was essentially a copy/paste of the US Constitution but with an extra article that specifically forbade any state from passing a law that banned slavery. State's rights you say?
The Confederacy was proto-fascism of the highest order. Not that you'd ever hear that in a southern academic institution. Texas is particularly amusing (and horrifying) given that it rebelled against two different federal governments (Mexico and United States) just to make sure it could keep slaves. Fun fact - Texans are technically all illegal immigrants.

And yet, the rednecks fly the confederate war flag and claim "heritage". They don't see the irony of saying "I love America" and "We're patriots" while flying the flag of a losing coalition of traitors.

So you're a hot young billionaire and you can't find live people to support your inclusion in Presidential race?
The rest can't sign their names clearly.
Guess which party is being very particular on that.
