TLD: Watched the first episode of Fargo last night.  We were getting a bit worried by the slow progress till the end of the scene in the hospital waiting room, but then it got going, and by heck, it's looking like a quality series.  I can barely wait to watch episode two tonight! :-)

I loved Fargo, it made my top series this year with Game of Thornes, The Walking Dead and The Americans.

Not a television series however to save starting a thread about it thought I would put it here.

I get a chuckle everytime from the drug driving ads , "there is nothing funny about my soap" , or the one I like best is the Chinese lady in the take away store. Serious topic however amusing adverts.

DravidDavid: I'm currently waiting for Game of Thrones, Suits Season 3/4 (I think), Blacklist and the next season of The Walking Dead. I decided to try House of Cards.  The first episode was so boring I almost fell asleep.  I thought, "OK OK, give it time...Lets watch the next one, give it two episodes".  I watched the next one and actually fell asleep this time.
Am I watching the correct House of Cards?  It's about this political guy who hires a reporter for some reason, or something.  I don't know, I fell asleep.

I think you've missed the themes.
Having been shafted by the president elect and after many years as senior whip , he decides to bring down those who betrayed him.

Reporter is aggressive up type who decides to use and be abused by main character in order to advance her career, while he does the same using her..

Much plotting and scheming ensues.

A.

I will try a third episode.  It looks great on paper but from what I saw, it was pretty drawn out.

Sometimes what you don't get is a blessing in disguise!

Watched all of the Siberian Cut.
Typical Discovery channel rednecks with machines and logging.
Not too bad but would like to see what Season 2 has if there is one.

Nik and I are currently watching Black Mirror. Awesome series about alternate realities and the dark side of technology impacting daily life. Each episode is a different story, has a completely different cast, etc.

Pretty sure it's on Netflix too - would recommend :)

It wasn't!

I think Topgear's travel formula is very tired now.

Also, not certain that they didn't intend to annoy the Argentinians.

I think they should get back to being a car show.

I recall an episode about Ayrton Senna, which I think was awesome.

Fargo, was really good.

The production and acting (and cast) was brilliant.

Allison Tolman was a standout!

Fabian: Just smashed out season 2 and 3 of Homeland.  It was awesome, i don't think they need to make a season 4.

Big fan of the goodwife but they have had an unexpected break of about 4 months halfway thru season 5.

Just finished watching season 4 Homeland and was quite disappointing. Word is that it will be the end.

Half way thru season 6 Good wife and still enjoying it.

Marco Polo was quite good.

I did enjoy Madam Secretary.
