Geektastic:

Handle9: Dubai standard time.

"Yes sir, that will take 2 hours." 4 hours later, still going.

"Only 15 minutes more sir, inshallah..."

They must buy their clocks from the same place that Wairarapa tradesmen do.

"Two minutes, Turkish!" :)

I like the spanish "hasta mañana" reply

When asked how long something will take, it literally means "until tomorrow"

If it's just a farewell, it literally means "see you tomorrow"

Usually tomorrow never comes. Bad news if you want an urgent repair.

Spam robocalls from lostpetfinders.co.nz that leave long synthesized voice messages describing the dog that used to live 100 metres away.

Job ads that use language like this:

"Professional, uber smart and empowering leadership"

It sounds like something Donald Trump would write. Seriously who describes anything as "uber smart"

Took me nearly an hour to drive from Mt Maunganui to Otumoetai yesterday.... thought I'd allowed plenty of time but apparently not.

Could have driven to vegas in the same time.

Sounds about right. We have an office on Elizabeth St and one in Whakatane. My boss lives in Papamoa East and says that both take about the same time to get to.

Apart from certifiable morons? Our overlords the Übermensch, Sheldon, and people describing for-profit ridesharing scams using Fortwos and Forfours.

Using German prepositions in the English language in a totally wrong context like "Übermensch." It's a philosophic term of F. Nietzsche even hard to accept by the average Fritz and for sure not a job description. :-)

I get annoyed when potential employers require you to answer questions such as "What makes you the best person for the job?", without being able to evaluate your competition. Ridiculous question!
