Just a question.. If I had one of these...

BitForce Single 'SC' 50 GH/s @ around 2500 US

@ 50 GH/s at todays prices how much could I made per day or per month?

and if I had bitcoins are they easily changed to real cash (in NZ) or what can I actually buy in NZ with bitcoins?

You have to join a pool to be worthwhile.

I used an online exchange (will lookup later) to sell my bitcoins and got paid via Paypal.

You have to factor the power costs. But if you get a few cents of bitcoin a day you're lucky.

They say they will host it for $25/Month so it may use less power than that.

Pay $2500 US for the Unit (They will add it to their Pool).. Pay $25/Month for hosting it in the States... Never see it and.. get back how much?

timmmay:
From what I read on stuff they're used to buy drugs on a site called "silk road", over via the anonymous TOR network.

It seems some big players in the mainstream media want to frame Bitcoins as the devil by being the enabler of drug purchases, funding source of terrorism... etc

Yes bitcoins can be used to buy drugs (just like cash can also be used), don't think that bitcoins=drugs. There is a LOT more to bitcoins than silk road.

Used https://fastcash4bitcoins.com to sell my bitcoins. Got paid via Paypal, fast and easy. Better than my previous experience which was swapping bitcoins with VISA prepaid cards. I rather have the cash.
