it’s a shame 2degree has become the current decades version of Vodafone, TelstraClear and spark. Start off wellish, Grow large, break things then be really slow fixing or even acknowledging you done cocked up. Even better blame the customer.
the key thing is where fibre is being used, the input cost is regulated and public. It’s about $55/month wholesale I think now. Everyone using fibre has to start from there. I’ve lost track of where one.nz is with the cable network, and for wireless connections those costs are different and self contained to the network. But for fibre there is little innovation beyond how much each telco loves their customer and tries to keep them. Some will hide efforts behind churn and retention budgets, or trot out the classic folly that acquisition is more valuable than retention.
i wonder how popular Quic would be without Michael’s personal comments. Spark seems pricey and one.nz seems missing in action.
my agreement with 2D is up in 9 days. 2 requests for retention call have gone unresponded to. Guess that says it all. My mobile business will go to once the Internet is churned.
