Just saw this, but I'll wait and see how the firmware performs before upgrading (done my turn being the guinea pig!).

Its available on Euro and Apac Product Codes - I'd use the Euro one for two advantages:

1) Can silence the camera shutter sound (may or may not be an advantage, but surely better to have the option than not)
2) You can change the phones native font (can't be done on the Asian language packs) - see Darla Macks blog for instructions.

I installed it last night.  So far so good, everything works.  I had to browse around the menus to find the Memory Card icon though!  It is now under the Utilities folder.

I wonder if this firmware version allows users to backup their calendar events onto the memory card?  It seems odd how the backup backs-up everything but the calendar events.

Updated this morning, no problems. Update downloaded 115MB then took about 10 minutes to complete. Gallery is indeed a lot quicker but I didn't use it before (Resco is far superior). Phone startup time has improved a lot. Spent literally the whole morning re-installing all apps.

For anyone running the new beta version of PC suite, 6.86.x, you might find (as I did) that the Updating software didn't recognise my phone using it. Rolled back to 6.85.x with no problems.

I didn't realise that youtube now offer a native app which is great but stupidly, there is no option to define which access point to use and so it uses GPRS. Good thing I noticed the icons else my Vodafone bill would have been insane.

Updated mine on the weekend, works nice and fast.

My only issue so far that I had some applications (mainly games) on my memory card and after upgrade Application Manager shows them as "installed" but no icon can be found in the menus and I can't remove the applications from the Manager.
Any advice?

Still no maps for NZ... :(

Not quite true.  You can change the settings so that the phone asks you to choose your access point everytime you go online.  I can watch YouTube videos and check my e-mails using wifi.

That's right. You can change that in the Web settings menu under General - Access point - Always ask.

Thanks chaps but what I'm referring to is the Youtube native app that can be downloaded for N95.
If you go to youtube.com from the phone you get an option to download and install the app. After running you are prompted for an access point, where I select my wifi. But then when viewing a video it uses a GPRS access point. Good for Vodfone, bad for me :(
