Anyone thought about getting all the speed cameras in NZ and loading them as proximity points?

Done it already, you can download them off the net and open them in Mapsource and add a group proximety of 1k or whatever you want.

...incidentally... where did you guys get Mobile XT from?

I thought I had bought it on E-Bay, for about $125 NZD including shipping, but that all went up the creek, so I'm back to square one.

I'm currently trying to:
    a) Find any NZ / AU dealers who might sell it locally
and
    b) trying to find a decent deal on E-Bay - best deal now is $160 USD incl. shipping!

Questions:
    1 - Where'd you buy it?
2 - How much did you pay?

Ta.

Yes you do (so the people tell me)...

You get voice guidance, and it's all included in the package, without any ongoing fees.

Just downloaded XT Mobile from the web, installed it with the free NZ auto routing maps and went for a drive. Works great and the 3D mapping is pretty good.

Doesn't recalculate as fast as a dedicated vehicle GPS but it's not too bad, especially since it cost a total of $0.

WHAT!?

I just bought XT Mobile for a little over $150!

I just checked the forum, after buying, to see if this thread had any action... Are we talking about the same thing!? How did you get it for free!?

Cheers.

Mmm... Cheers... presumably a less-than-legit source.

I think I'll just wait for my shiny new MicroSD to arrive from the US.
