Have I been living in a cave or has there been no news regarding the new Nokia Care centre in Newmarket, Auckland?

I see on Nokia Care's webpage there is a section on tracking your mobile's repair progress.  Is Nokia competing against Mobilefone Repair and offering their own service centre?  If that is the case, BRILLIANT!

I don't think they are open for business yet.

That is what Nokia Care Centres do overseas - they are the repairers. Of course MFR will still have all the other brands to keep them going.

Excellent, so they are competing against MFR?  Many have suffered in the hands of MFR, as clearly documented on this site from time-to-time.

I look forward to Nokia repairing and looking after their own customers directly!  Laughing

Ha, like you couldn't see that coming! I wonder if MFR will be hocking off cheap parts now?

I wonder what nokia's prices are with out of warranty recasing an N95? mine (friend upgraded and give his bashed up one to me) is in a very sorry state of repair and I'd love a new casing. But, it works perfectly having never been touched by the scalpels of MFR.

That's something for Nokia to be proud of - they should sponsor you a new one so they can add that to a reliability marketing campaign!

It is open and running now.

MFR are no longer the warranty repair agent for Nokia in New Zealand I've been told :)

Good news IMO.

It's open?  Great news!  It looks pretty posh from the outside.

Anyone had any first hand experience dealing with them?

Taken tonight on my way home, wasn't specifically looking out for it, will try to go past during the day and take some better photos.

For those who don't know where it is, it's in Newmarket on Khyber Pass Rd, bottom end closer to Broadway.  It's directly opposite Lion Breweries, across the road from the BP.

Cool, I might take my old N95 there and see what it costs to get it sorted (flex cable failed, along with the LED screen, battery cover is boken, could do with a new shell...).

It sounds like my phone is in the same state as yours NZtechfreak.  Update us on how you go with Nokia Care and the cost.

It should be around $150
