Just installed the 210 f/w and so far so good - it feels a lot snappier...

Have you noticed much difference with 210?

Maybe...but even my fresh install of 200 wasn't as snappy :o)

Might have to take a look tomorrow. All your fault Scott!

For those of you playing at home, cisconz thought it would be a great idea to upgrade the firmware on my phone, and proceeded to jam it so it wouldn't start up.  He then recommended I drop it into Nokia Care to get it fixed.

I resurrected it with some instructions I found online.

Lesson learned: don't let cisconz touch your stuff.

fully rebuilt now with all my apps and cutomizations. it is definately faster.

The camera doesn't have the purple tinge, the flash works on auto, the response of the camera is better (no more holding it for 10secs, while your subject walks out of frame).

One thing I have noticed is that if you use the 0 shortcut to open web, it actually opens bookmarks. Previously even if you had it set to bookmarks it would always open the home page.

After flashing it, I think the C drive is about 120mb free and memory is around 65mb/128mb free.

All done. Still undecided on any benefits but haven't had a good 'play' yet.

going to have to *#7380# it

fw well worth it just for the camera alone.

YAAAAY!! Finally! The 210 fw seems to have fixed the issue I had with connecting in Mass Storage mode. It used to make the memory card unavailable to the phone after I "Safely Remove" it from the PC. Doesn't seem to do that anymore!

Agreed on the camera, so far it seems far more usable in low light than it was before.

I also think the GPS seems a bit faster off the mark compared with the earlier firmware. The GPS used to take up to 4 or 5 minutes before it woke up, now it's well under a minute. Also managed to pick up 7 satellites last night, while inside under out tin roof which it hasn't done before (from memory)
