Task List?

I am using the same default N97 Task Manager you are, buy holding down the Menu key...

I do, however, also have an app called DeviceInfo which tells me everything about the phone, including:
- C: drive memory available/used
- E: drive memory available/used
- F: drive memory available/used
- RAM available/used
- Batery available/used
- IMEI
- WLAN Mac address
- Phone model
- Firmware version
- Manufacturer
- Produc type
- Bluetooth status
- Vibraion status
- Auto lock status
- Screensaver timeout

At the mo, it is showing I have around 38MB of RAM free...
Depending on what I am running, I reguarly get down as low as 8-9MB of RAM free....but may be even less as a times apps running in the background will crash/close.

DeviceInfo is available free, found here

Ah.

2 of those pics are of Handy Taskman...

It is not actually included with the N97, those pics are for displaying the available RAM and phone memory with the new firmware.

Edit:
I just had a look around, read some reviews over at Symbian-guru, and found this free version, if your interested...

Its not quite as 'pretty', but offers far more control and customization...and most importantly, its free.
I have not tested it so I do not know how i performs on the N97.

Jbak Taskman

Handy Taskman is great, have had it on all my S60 phones.

JBak Taskman is better (more powerful), but unfortunately the S60v5 version is not quite running properly just yet.

It is a request we all have...the flash support is limited and flakey at best.
Hopefully, an update will with the next version firmware.

Dailymotion works too...but very very inconsistant.

jjnz1: I have turned off the auto screen rotation features on my N97 and it has speed up remarkably, it seems to work like a fast cheap phone now. ;)

Thanks for tip. Works fine when you slide open for keyboard to switch to landscape mode. Phone is quicker too!

I seem to need to restart my phone every week or so otherwise after a while text notifications stop working, i just accidently find a whole bunch of unopened messages in the inbox.

Hi everyone, new to the Forum and can't believe I never came to geekzone to look for it till now......

Had my N97 since the beginning of July and been following a number of Forums around the world, without looking on my own doorstep......

Oh well....

Anyway, good to be here and be part of it. Hope to have something to contribute as time goes on.

Speaking of which, heavenly_wild are you still having that trouble with your alarm ringing a few minutes late?
