I've seen some articles which are saying the blackberry bold will be released this month in Australia http://www.itnews.com.au/News/81547,shove-over-iphone-blackberry-bold-comes-to-australia.aspx

Does anyone know when it will be released here? I can't wait for it!

I have been waiting for this release as well, I want to upgrade to a smartphone and want to check out the bold before purchasing, I have asked Vodafone and no one seems to know.

I understand it will be sometime in September.

More interestingly will be whether we hear anything soon about the somewhat mythical Blackberry Thunder

We've a demo unit in the office and I've had a play with it. Very impressive device. The screen is amazing and the keypad is awesome.

To me though, I'll stick to the Curve. I found it a bit large to fit in my pocket with my other handset. Granted, not much of a criticism, more a 'preference'. I think the Curve is about the right size for a email device.
