Apparently so if you install a Crystal HD decoder board (losing wireless networking in the process) and a gigabit USB network card: link. That is only for the Apple TV 1 though, and it will only decode but not output 1080p.


Yes on looking at further posts (from searching Google) it does seem as if this is a limitation with XBMC
