Maybe for some gaming headphones with surround and mic? The HD555 are a great headphone for music etc. they were actually the first decent headphones I brought myself. (my first really good phones were a pair of HD414s back in the 80s)

NZtechfreak: Running inventory of gear expected at this year's meet here. Already a lot of great gear there, once I can confirm with Computer Lounge that will be in attendance the list will grow considerably too.

Damn, so bummed that I'll be out of the country could have added my HD700s for a nice compare between the different high end Senn's

Hopefully this will happen next year :-)

Anyone have a set of HD800's they would part with for a week by chance? I know that is laughably unlikely, but you never know.

Google Now actually told me about this earlier today. Nice list of gear already!

Thankfully had surgery on the spine last Friday, so now shouldn't have any trouble making it to the event!

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Wait, what?! Google Now told you?

Anyways, more importantly, glad to hear you got your surgery - onwards and upwards!

Yep, I guess Google has been keeping an eye on sites I've been visiting. (who'd have thunk it?)

Not running (or walking) marathons any time soon, but certainly moving now.

Looking forward the Headphone meet this year, couldn't make it last year.

Well my New RS175's arrived. They are very good, though I have only listened to them for 30 minutes so far and no music. The digital connection is outstanding, complete silence.

I bought them because I thought my  RS170's were faulty, turned out because of an ODD set of circumstances I did something very dumb and as a result there was actually no fault at all.

As a result I have a set of RS170's in great condition, for sale, I thought I'd offer them here before I list them on trademe. $220 seems a fair asking price, let me know if you are interested.

The list is looking great for the event.  I'll cross my fingers that the HE-1000's come along.  I'd love to get to listen to those as they might be my end-game cans.

Yes I am hoping so. They should have plenty of scope to scale up with the gear - my little Geek Out 450 Amp/DAC can have a go at them for a while though. $750 for a pair of 'phones is more than enough for now I think!
