dickytim: Looking for my next set of headphones. I am going to the gym, and also would be good when riding, but I want some wireless, in-ear with controls on them (volume up/down, next song etc.). I am currently using the iPhone headphones and they are good enough for this task, what should I be looking for with what I want. Will get around 1-2 hours solid work everyday. Really don't want to spend too much more than $50 but can stretch if needed.

Not sure you will get all that with your budget. as an aside (and completely out of your budget) I just got a pair of Beats Powerbeats2 which are Bluetooth in-ears made for sport/running. I swore I would never buy Beats but these are actually really good for there intended purpose. They don't move at all when running and the base is nowhere near the usual overpowered mess of most Beats headphones. $330 though so like I said, outside your budget.

I thought as much, I might just get a nasty pair from Trademe, they are really only to drown out the giggy-giggy crap that is played at the gym.

Just had my new Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless turn up in the post. Wow, they sound fantastic for Bluetooth headphones. Mid's are nice and rich with a decent low end and no harshness in the treble.

A very nice set of cans if you are looking for something a bit more high end in your wireless headphones. They also have active noise cancelling that if anything like my PXC-450s should be pretty decent.

If you're after cheap but decent in-ears then the Xiaomi Mi Pistons (I think they're up to version 3 now) are well worth it. I believe PB Tech have them.

Did anyone ever get to try the Fostex TH-X00? They review pretty well, and are on Massdrop for $399 + $15 shipping

Thanks,

For that price and free shipping it is worth a punt.

I'll review them when they arrive.

One of the best things about my new Sennheiser wireless Momentums is late night YouTube music video sessions when the wife has gone to bed hooked up to the Apple TV 4. I can even walk around the house, like to get another beer, without having to unplug.

Keen to hear what you use your Bluetooth headphones for that make them indispensable.

How do these compare sound quality wise with my word sennheiserser HD 202 headphones?

I'll upgrade if first and foremost they sound good. Wireless and noise cancelling are nice, but only if they actually sound ok.

Thanks.
