Does anyone have any first-hand experience with the B&W PX7?

My Surface Headphones 2 in matte black are sitting in Auckland waiting to be couriered down to me in Wellington.  They've been in Auckland since Wednesday evening.  They were sent from Melbourne on Monday evening.  As usual, nearly longer to get from one end of one island than across the Tasman.

Heh, I think I posted here once before (another thread) about how an item from the US arrived quicker than something I ordered, in stock, in Newmarket, less than 10KM away.

Am not much of an audio nut. Just wondering about the Sennheiser HD 450BT as a gift for general use with a bit of noise cancelling thrown in. They're only $199 till the end of today. Reasonable / good / bad ?

I've been looking at those on and off for a while.

Trying to find some nice BT on ear headphones, to match my wired momentum 2's.

Everything newer seems to be over ear.  Wanted on ear with noise cancelling ideally.

Anyone got/tried the RME ADI-2 DAC?

Seems like a decent, do-it-all endgame desktop unit...

It's not family safe to describe what I would require to be included with this to make it worth $2500 :)

Oops - for some reason I was thinking the US$ price was the NZ$ price, i.e around $1k! At the top end, but worth considering...

...but yes, having checked Rubber Monkey, I am not sure I would drop that much either.

$1K isn't outrageous on a DAC, a Mid to high Mid-range mobile DAC and Amp would cost you $700-1000.

Though, in my experience, diminishing returns kicks in at a pretty low value for DAC's in my opinion.
