Hi, I've just purchased a new Denon AVR-1713 receiver and the USB and network ports seem to be disabled. The network settings are greyed out in the menu and the network switch doesn't light up when the receiver is connected.

I've been back to Harvey Norman and the one in the shop was the same, USB and network didn't work at all. I've tried everything I can think of, different network cables (lots), different network switch etc but still no luck. It's almost like these features have been disabled in the firmware. I've sent an email to Denon NZ (well http://www.audioproducts.co.nz) but thought I'd see if anyone else had any issues.

Just wondering if anyone else has one of these and does it work properly?

Any help would be appreciated.

The receivers will be taken out of their box by the importer, upgraded with the latest firmware / NZ plug popped in the box. Maybe the person doing it failed to complete the upgrade process fully?
I'd try a micro processor reset and see if that helps. It should take a few seconds to do, and it may fix the issue?

Thanks. I did try the micro processor reset and a network reset but the network and USB still don't work. It almost seems like the firmware wasn't installed properly or the incorrect firmware was installed as under the Settings -> Information -> Firmware menu it is just blank.
