Yes you could try a universal remote, if you want to spend the time trying to get it to work. ( I know i would :D)

If not then you need the $54 RF modulator from Jaycar.

awesome thanks. I think I would rather try the remote first and then if all else fails i will get the rf modulator.  thank you so much for your help. this is the best website ever. who knew there would be somewhere I could get all my stupid questions answered!
