robjg63: Be very careful with anything containing lasers, look down the barrel of a laser and it will probably be the last thing you will ever see.

When I did mine, the power was *off* as I was adjusting the screw...then reassembled (partially, but the lid/cover on the drive was on) and a disc in prior to switching it back on.
