Is anyone aware of any NZ outlets for Audioengine (at a decent price)? I was looking at purchasing a D1 and A5+ set, but the prices I've seen locally are way off. (a5+ retails for 399US, but here is close to $800NZD).
The D1 is $388 NZ locally, but only 169 US, if from the states.

I had the same problem and couldn't find anyone locally selling the A5+'s for a sensible price. That said, I have spoken to the guy that runs Stereotype a few times and he seems decent and open to negotiation, so it might be worth giving them a ring?

I held off buying the things last year when the original distributors pulled out of the line as I thought I would have problems with warranty and support - given that they were selling existing stock off for around the $450 mark, I am kicking myself now!

Thanks mate, I might give them a call tomorrow or Monday to see if they can help out. Seems these have gone up astronomically and the only reason I can think of is because they're so popular now. They're not EOL AFAIK.

Yeah, I'll have ot keep an eye out.

I might just see if its worth getting off amazon. Don't know if its worth waiting for it to go on sale.

Excellent speakers.

I bought mine in Melbourne: http://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Speakers/2.0/Audioengine

At the time there was no NZ distributor.

Thanks for that - did they allow you to send internationally? or did you have to have a postage forwarder?

Pricing's really gone awry I bought the A2's back in 2012 for 190NZD from Aquilatech, they don't sell any Audioengine products any more though.

I bought them when I was in Melbourne, so I can't answer your question.

No worries, I've sent them a query to see if they will ship to NZ. Heres to hoping they say yes

No luck. They didn't respond, which is disappointing. Still looking for a decent supplier :(
