Hi Everyone

So im thinking of building an HTPC based around the Intel NUC and want to use my existing sky dish to receive freeview, but cannot for the life of me find a USB DVBS TV Tuner in NZ... do any of you know where i could get one?

I also have lookeDVd but never found any. However on Trademe there are for around $45 a usb DVB-S tuner box available. Just takes a bit more room




HTPC Intel Pentium G3258 cpu, Gigabyte H97n-wifi motherboard, , 8GB DDR3 ram, onboard  graphics. Hauppuage HVR 5500 tuner,  Silverstone LC16M case, Windows 10 pro 64 bit using Nextpvr and Kodi

Be careful if considering options like this:

Support with no-name-no-brand tuners like that may be bad. That particular tuner also doesn't support DVB-S2 (standard overseas; in NZ, used for Sky's HD channels, feeds... "future proof").

I bought one of these recently, mainly because it had Linux support and was nice and cheap. Working very well. Using it as we speak to watch a DVB-S2 transmission.
