jarledb: Interesting, Sonos does not list frequency response of the Sonos 5. For a "hi-fi" system, that is really strange. Thought I would be able to at least compare that between Sonos and the Yamahas.

Nothing about power consumption or amplifier power, efficiancy, or even what spl it can achieve.

is quite worrying, no 5GHz and doesnt even mention 802.11n.

All true - but the new Play:5 has received some really favourable reviews in the past couple of weeks, even from some audiophile sites. For what it is, I believe it's quite a stunning speaker, especially when two are paired. The "for what it is" obviously includes the whole Sonos ecosystem - including the new Trueplay calibration system - all pretty darn good IMO, albeit pricey.

Sonos and Pandora together have changed my life.
