I'm keen to locate our MySky box out of sight behind the TV - but obviously the remote needs to access the box with its IR signal.

I'm looking for a simple wired IR Remote Extender Repeater system with 1x receiver + 1x emitter to pass the Sky remote's signal from the front of the TV to the rear. Googling I have found quite a lot of gear like this, starting at USD30 incl shipping on Amazon, but it's difficult to know the wheat from the chaff. Maybe it's simple stuff and I just judge using the reviews on Amazon?

Would appreciate any comments or advice including brands/models/retailers etc if poss. TIA.

Sky boxes can be problematic... I'd buy one locally where it's easy to exchange.
Of course, many IR systems can work if you move the eye further away from the IR port on the Pace box... however, this is not always the case.
Your results may differ...

Try and get a dual band IR repeater or says something like 33 - 60 kHz on the box.
