Just under 500!!!!! posters and banners could be a good next step - any other ideas for taking this out to a wider audience?Meanwhile pass this link onto as many people as you can http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/bring-on-the-sci-fi-channel.html  and post it in as many forums as possible...

BTW Freitasm's Blog (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/freitasm) covering the peition is very cool!!!

Team,

Your petitioning the wrong outfit.  Sky simply do not care what you want to see. You need to be petitioning their biggest advertisers and telling them that you will only watch their ads during commecial breaks in SCI-FI programs!

Sky only listen to their customers...

Cheers Mike

Well regardless why dont you sing the petition anyhow? It'll only take a second or two of your time...

Bare in mind that I'm not exclusively aiming this at Sky, it's targeted at all the networks who seem hell-bent on treating sci-fi as entertainments poor cousin...

Make sure all your friends, family and others sign the petition http://www.gopetition.com/online/18635.html every signature counts!!! Post this link on any forum you can think of...

We've passed the 1000 mark, with 1038 to be exact.

Momentum has slowed, with the number of signatures added each day as follows:
21 April   224
22 April   249
23 April   193
24 April    99
25 April    87
26 April    85
27 April    76
28 April    25

More than 1000 signatures must be enough to get Sky TV's attention.  Has there been any comment from Sky TV on the petition?

In OZ on foxtel the Sci Fi channel costs an extra AU$6.95 a month on top of any existing packages.

So who would be willing to pay an extra NZ$ 7-8 on top of a standard Sky subscription?

Hey Guys - momentum has slowed over the last few days but I there has been some developments - several big media players are going to cover this over the next week and a half so we should get a fresh batch of numbers through...

It would really help if you folk could send an email out to all freinds and family emploring them to sign the petition... additionally spread the word in any forums you happen to visit....

Sign the petition to bring the sc-fi channel to NZ - We need thinking peoples TV!!!
