As the title suggests today is a good day in my house.

I have spent the afternoon setting up my new LG OLED65C7T 65inch OLED tv and I have to say I am very impressed with the picture quality, even from good old Freeview.

Had a quick play with the PS4 Pro, which highlighted a weak link in my setup, and OMG Project Cars 2 looked stunning. Now the weak link... My amp doesn't support 4k!! Not a major issue, just means I have to plug things directly into the TV rather than running via the amp. Was using optical out to the amp anyway so no change there.

Compared to my now 4yo Panasonic VT65 plasma the picture quality is in another league. Yeah I know 1080 vs 4K it should be, but as mentioned even Freeview looks stunning.

Got a very good price from Noel Leemings as they price matched a deal Harvey Norman had on. Went to Noels as they had one in stock. The salesman wasn't happy and mentioned that I got it about $500 less than cost!!

So far a very happy camper.

Don't they get rebates back though from their supplier? So don't they still make a profit? I supsect margins on these more expensive and premium tvs like this are pretty healthy.

It is amazing how much technology on TVs has progressed, as that does look like an awesome TV,
