I'd say try to check the developers settings on menu item. you most likely selected something to output something on the screen.

Does anyone know if there are any good reviews of the Australian/NZ TCL models around?

I was ready to pull the trigger on a P Series 55 after reading some great reviews on US websites like rtings, but after a bit more investigation I found that the TCL models we get here are not the same panels they get in the US and miss out on things like local dimming.

no issues so far. I'm very pleased with the update, and TV seems to run faster! I had software v364 before.

seems there're more settings to tune picture, but I have not played with those yet.

HDR10 works well from plex server.

TV has failed to boot (running the 7 update, not the 8 update) a few times, luckily unplugging and replugging it will boot. Did again today, let's hope the unplugging works.

THat's what worries me with these unofficial "updates" ....

Anyone tried it on the 65" NUS?

so it's been over 2 weeks now with android 8.

No issues. everything works for me.

the only thing that keeps bothering me since the purchase: speech/voice search settings won't stay as selected after reboot :( always reset to default.

everything "works" is ok. but is there any difference in features and performance?

quite keen to not make anything worse.

also can you try flashing back to previous - is that an option?

and does anyone have the tv's original firmware? i don't like the android 7 because it doesn't stream large files properly.

sorry so many questions

anyone knows how I can flash my 65NUS to original firmware?

the Android 7 firmware is not working for me as streaming from windows network is appalling.

what firmware are you currently on? there's v373 (android 7) which should be stable. I had no issues on 55NUS, windows share worked via kodi samba, plex and directly from ES File manager

you can download v173 which I think is the latest android 6

but why not give android 8 a go?
