I saw a few threads on TV deals being posted here so thought I'd start a thread where people can post their findings on the best TV deals here.

P.s I'm also looking for a good deal on a 55"+ TV.

I'm looking for a premium end ~50" LED at around sub $1500

Sony KD-49X9000E - $1497 - Harvey Norman

TCL 55X2US - $1736 - JBHifi

Panasonic TH-58EX730Z - $1298 - JBHifi

There seems to be a lot of talk of the Sony being the best of the non-OLED TVs so I'm edging towards that.

I've never gotten the point of curved TVs.

If the Sony KD55X8500E gets to just over the $1000 mark, that would be a bargain.

If anyone spots a good quality 4K 43" TV preferably with Android TV, or Android/IOS Casting ability, please let me know. Ideally under $1k.

W800C from Sony was my first choice, disappeared for a reason I can't fathom.

This is a great TV based on the fact I have the previous model and I like it.

If it got under $1500 before march, in NZ, it'd be a bargain.

I still can't tell a "good" LED tv panel type from a "bad" type just by looking at the model and price. *sigh why don't they put the panel specs on the specs page

An OLED is the only TV worth buying.. And the 55" B7 is under $3k everywhere.

Thought about one myself ($1888 here), but two things.... We want to sell the house, and.... LG...

Had an LG before the Sony I have now.

In-laws have an LG, Brother-In-Law has an LG... While none of them are OLED, they have the latest OS, and I hate it.

I'd rather get a TV for just over 1k considering how much I spent on the Moet. :P

LG have moved on from their days of being Lucky Goldstar. :)

I actually don't mind their OS and rate it above Android TV on the Sony.

hahaha... My LG was 2012.

That's the thing tho... I have a Sony AndroidTV and live with it daily (2015 X8500C), and spent the day today at the brother-in-laws, with his 2017 LG... I wouldn't want that in my house ever.

And the parents-in-laws 2015 LG.... Even worse.

Each  to their own.

I wonder if Harvey Norman will price beat Noel Leeming or Heathcote for the Sony 55" KD55X8500E TV.
