Hi All

Not sure which forum section this really slots into, so forgive me that this is a bit off-topic.

I seem to recall a bit of noise a couple of years ago about a DAB digital radio trial going on in New Zealand. Does anyone know what the outcome of the trial was? Is it to be deployed or was it canned?

Steve

Thanks for that, 007. I'd not heard of HD Radio but boy am I sick of the term 'HD' being overused and slapped onto anything that needs a bit of marketing hype to push it along.

Recently I've heard radio adverts for "HD laser eye surgery"(!), Digg had a link to an infommercial which was trying to flog off some old Blu-blocker sunglasses as "HD Glasses" and I've even seen commercials on TV for "HD" Mascara! Where will it end!!

If anyone wants to send me a DAB radio, I would be happy to test it

I believe there is a delay in MED assigning frequencies for DAB but the trials by Kordia are continuing.
