Hi,

I'm currently looking for TV for bedroom, 95% for Netflix before bed, my budget is $2000 max

Local HN shop offer Samsung UA65MU6100SXNZ for $1797 and PB emailed me for preorder Philips 65PUT6162/79 for $1499

Which one would be better choice?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

I dare say the same. Had the Samsung in 50". Everything works.

Go for looks.

I’m curious about this too. The Philips has had some really bad reviews and I’m sceptical about not being able to see it before I buy.

The complete lack of details on the preorder philips makes me think that its an old model they are offloading here. Its at least clear that not all the ports are HDMI 2.0 and there is no HDR at all on them.

The Samsung... I'm not a fan of Samsung ANYTHING in general, but I'd still own one before I owned a Philips TV.

Samsung = Features > Function

But end quality ie the screen itself cannot be faulted.

But yeah the way it goes about things in general = clumsy.

But hey I've always bought them so I don't know if the rest of the field are less clumsy!

In terms of sexiness - I really don't care about how things look but I gather most people's issue with Samsung is that they don't look appealing.
