Has anyone got one of these or had any experience?

It used to retail around $1400 but is now on sale at $899 which seems quite a keen price and I thought it might make a nice system in my office, connected to my iMac and to other streaming components like the phone etc.

Reviews are good online but just thought I would see if anyone here had experienced the system.

Essentially it is two linked active speakers with amp and DAC and various streaming options all built in.

Good sounding and very, very flexible.

I had a pair at home for a bit, with an optical cable connected to my TV and a USB out of my MacMini.

Good sound, in the Logitech database and 3 x streaming services (Spotify Connect, Tidal and Deezer) + Airplay and Bluetooth... so yeah, sound great.

They played everything I through at them over DLNA (DSD / FLAC etc) but mainly I used them as a sound card for the Mac with iTunes, Amara and Plex.

There's a few cables to take into account though, a power cable per speaker, an XLR between speakers and an category cable between speakers too.

Thanks. The cables aren't a deal breaker although they'd be better wireless from a set up point of view but perhaps not from a sound point of view.

I'd be using them as near field monitors either side of the Mac if I go for some.

I've looked and decided that the system is a bit large for my desk.

I'm considering the Naim Mu-so with my iMac standing on top of it on a rubber mat. I have emailed Naim to ask if the unit will be OK with that weight on.
